Dr. Vaidehi Boinapally, MD

So far I have seen Dr. Boinapally twice. The first was for Poison Ivy. She recognized my allergic reaction and provided the right medications. The second she had to refer me to a specialist. She knows Internal Medicine and refers you when she does not have the specialization. She called me herself to follow-up after getting test results.

Last year I had a bladder infection and was experiencing a lot of pain and when I called to make an appointment I was told she was not available for several days. I was told to go to the ER if I was in pain, which I did and ended up paying dearly for it. This year I had another bladder infection and was able to get an order from the dr to leave a urine sample so she could take a culture and then prescribe an antibiotic. This was on a Friday at 7:30am. I called three times that day and was told that the results weren't back yet and they would call me on Monday!! Not receiving a call I had to call them on Tuesday and I was told that now the sample was too old and they needed another one, Of course I was charged for both and meanwhile I am walking around with blood in my urine for 6 days but fortunately not in pain. There just doesn't seem to be any concern for the patient's health coming from this doctor or her staff. On another note her nurse taking my vitals seemed like a dimwit. She… was reading my chart and then turned to me and said how she needs to lose weight "too" because after her gastric bypass surgery she gained 28 lbs. After just staring at her in disbelief she proceeded to tell me what she likes to eat, in list form. Then added after looking at my chart again that she loves pasta "too". I'm wondering now what the heck is in my chart and how fast can I get out of this room. Needless to say I am searching for a new heath care provider.

My experiences and appointments with Dr. Boinapally have been wonderful from the beginning. She is professional, courteous, friendly and caring. I was under the care of another dr. out of state and was going back and forth to both of them. She is the one who diagnosed me with hypothyroidism, which the other dr. missed. She has even called me herself to check on me and is always very concerned with getting the dosage correct for my cholesterol and thyroid. I highly recommend her.

I went to se this doctor because a have pain in joints and in the back. After she ask me the typical questions and perform a simple test , she diagnose me and send me home with a cast and a couple of pills. Nothing for my back. The second time I returned, was for the same reason and she didn't show interest in listening what I have to say and send me more pills and suggest me to be more relax, no more test performed. Now after 4 months I keep having the pain that now is worse but I wont return to her, I need help no somebody that takes me like a number and diagnose and treat without listening or caring about what the patient has to say.
