Dr. Verdena Lynette Jennings, DO

I started seeing Dr. Jennings maybe 5 months ago she has always had a great bed side manner to me. if you don't have insurance like me she only charges $5.00 a visit which I think is great she has always spent lots of time with me & is always very caring she always asks if I have any questions for her. I have even been to her meditation class she was just as nice there as she was seeing me one on one I can't say enough good things about her. she has always been very helpful to me

My wife was a recent patient of Dr. lee, her perscription was stolen out of her purse after about 5 months of treatment. We called to explain what had happened and the perscription coould not be replaced. I had called and left a message to talk to Dr. Lee about her policies. In the message I had stated her policies almost leave a person with no choice but to call another doctor. The staff cancelled her appointment without notifying us. So she went to an appointment today and was sent home. The secretary refused to have Dr. Lee call us and promptly hung up on me. I had been polite and patient thinking it was a misunderstanding. We had waited two weeks after her medication was stolen to keep Dr. Lee as a her doctor. I just cant believe she would leave someone in such a fragile state with such limited options. Honestly my wife loved Dr. Lee and felt like she truely cared about her as a patient, she is devistated. I will continue to try and contact Dr. Lee but i'm not sure the staff is… relaying the message and she also said Dr. Lee will not be contacting you.

This doctor has a definite temper and maybe a chip on her shoulder. I never have been treated as badly as I have been with her by a doctor and I have had some bad ones. She in my opinion lacked professional and seems to have an attitude.When questioned, she gets very angry and arrogant going so far as to claim she never makes mistakes.Gets mad if interrupted or one chooses not to follow her direction or if in any way you have your own opinions that differ from hers. Did not trust what I said at times. Seemed to feel she was always right even though other doctors I saw said the complete opposite which really scared me as one wants a doctor who knows their stuff. She did this on several occasions, (made factual errors that later proved completely false making me seriously doubt her expertise.Saw her impatience and anger barely concealed on several occasions with occasional upsetting outbursts that left me upset for hours. These left me stunned, angry and upset. Telling others what she… did/said, they were shocked. She was an awful doctor. One of the bottom 2 or 3 I ever went to.Made several factual errors that 3 other doctors disagreed with completely making me afraid to trust her so I left and found another doctor who is much better with both knowledge, professionalism, kindness and great bedside manner with a top notch staff as well. I am so happy I left this doctor. I can see I would have had more and more problems with her. Certainly not what I look for in a doctor. I want a doctor with intelligence, expertise, wonderful and kind bedside manner, who respects my intelligence and who is open to my thought, wishes, research and opinions not someone who makes you feel she is not on the same side and who makes you feel bad, a bother and defensive. It was clear she could barely control her emotions of irritation with me,medical staff hurt me when drawing blood to the point I had not experienced before. Office staff rude and slow with followup/relaying messages. Elevator to the building smells strongly of urine.On the plus side, office waiting room is attractive filled with African art, Dr originally did seem to want to help and spent time with me, but eventually her real personality showed through making me run. If you go to her, don't say you weren't warned. Initially I found her to be nice and far better than my previous doctor; however, my last few experiences were so horrendous, I never went back.It saddens me to have to write this, as I do not like to hurt anyones feelings.say negative things or upset them, I am often told I am a nice person, but I felt I should warn others. When one is sick the last thing they need is a doctor whose demeanor makes it worst with a poor bedside manner. Maybe she just did not like me (and could not hide this in a professional manner one would expect of a doctor) and is not this way she is with others but the other review makes me doubt this. Plus the factual errors made me wonder just how well she knew her stuff which is even more important than having a good bedside manner.

Grossly over states self, office atmosphere, and quality of services. States services and treatment options on web site not actually offered in office. Welcomes uninsured, yet over charges for office visits. Also states insurance accepted but does not accept at time of visit. No certified counselor or therapist on staff. Basicly charges $200+ just to write scripts.
