Dr. Victor Stanley Doroski

I think this man needs to retire. He shows zero empathy or compassion in his sessions. I cannot afford insurance and pay cash. He says I have to come once a month (costly visit) to get refills on my prescriptions. He has never asked if I have anything making depression worse...just cutting me back on meds I have taken for many years. He seems to care little of "what" is causing problems and timed visits less than time allotted. I think he cares little of patient. I leave feeling much more depressed than when I arrive. I would not recommend him except possibly to my worst enemy!

No matter what I ask this Dr. For, he says,"No".

I ended up in a Prozac-induced manic state due to Dr. Dorosky's failure to listen to me when I reported side effects of medication. Instead, he prescribed MORE medication to treat the side effects, implying that Prozac would not cause me to feel manic unless I was bi-polar (in the DSM-IV it specifically states that manic symptoms caused by medication must be excluded when considering diagnostic criteria for bi-polar disorder). During this period of mania, I felt out of control, agitated, disconnected from family and friends, and I engaged in risky behavior. At the urging of family and friends, I sought care elsewhere; a couple weeks after the new psychiatrist took me off Prozac, I was beginning to feel like myself again. Not only did Dr. Dorosky fail to listen to me, he made me feel stupid whenever I tried to advocate for myself. He was quick to add more medication after spending 5 minutes with me, which was the typical length of each visit. One time I was kept waiting while Dr.… Dorosky was at lunch. The office staff were often short with me, especially over the phone. One time I rescheduled an appointment and when I arrived, I was informed that Dr. Dorosky was at a conference and that no one should have scheduled an appointment for that time. They were able to fit me in the next morning, but I received a bill in the mail for a $50 cancellation fee. After multiple attempts to explain why I was not responsible for a cancellation fee, I threatened to hire an attorney if they did not stop harassing me. That was the last I ever heard from them.Obviously, I would not recommend Dr. Dorosky.
