Horrible bedside manner - after coming into the room wreaking of smoke, he was clearly in a rush to perform the exam and move on as quickly as possible. Dr. Larocca is rude and doesn't exhibit the characteristics of a pediatric eye doctor. We have notified our Primary Care Physician about our experience, and they are considering pulling him from the list of preferred Ophthalmologists.

My 7 year old has been seeing Dr. Larocca for 2 years now and we adore him! I will admit that he doesn't sugar coat things. He gives straight diagnoses, but is so helpful in explaining things in a way I can understand. My daughter patched and when he suggested decreasing the time, I was hesitant. He talked to me about my hesitation and we made a plan together to minimally decrease until the next visit to calm my mama bear nerves.

Went to see Dr. Larocca and didn't have a positive experience at all. Not a kind person and would never go back

We saw Dr. Larocca with our 3 year old son for Strabismus (an eye turn). At first he recommended that our son wear glasses (even though they said he had perfect vision). As soon as we told him our son was fighting wearing them, his whole demeanor changed & after wasting time/money on several appointments and buying glasses, he told us he had never worked with a child that gave him such a hard time & that we needed to get a second opinion somewhere else! Horrible bedside manner, especially for a pediatric doctor.

Brought my daughter to see Dr. Larocca because she failed her eye test at her pediatricians office. He was great with her. very patient. Took the time to explain her condition of amblyopia. His staff was wonderful. Wait time was a little long but the phone message the night before did warn us, so that wasn't all that bad. He's not the warm and fuzzy but he knows what he's doing and we would recommend anyone to go see Dr. Larocca!!

Very disappointed to take my 5 yrs old daughter to see this doctor. he has no patience with kid and rush thru the appointment. He seems to care of how many patient he can see a day than take the time to explain for the patient to know the issue that they have. i only asked him a couple simple questions regarding to my daughter issue but the only answer i got from him was "I don't know, I don't do that". I finally got my questions answer on google instead. I never write a review before but this time i have to share my experience so other people can be aware of.

I took my daughter to see Dr. Larocca. He was very rude and abrupt with my daughter. She could not read the chart and he appeared to literally get mad at her for it. I wondered why he works with children when he has not a kind word or patience for them. Rushed through the appointment. We left with a strong prescription for glasses. Seeking second opinion.
