Dr. Vrinda S Hershberger, MD

I was referred to Dr. Hershberger at Florida Eye Associates & Health First Medical by my O.D. after he discovered and diagnosed a significant retinal tear in my left eye one late afternoon that met the criteria of an Eye Medical Emergency. As such, Dr. Hershberger and her staff took me immediately working me in at 8AM the next day (on a Friday) where Dr. Hershberger performed what I consider to be be a Next Level Solution Repair Laser Surgery . I found Dr. Hershberger to be highly professional , pleasant , informative , extremely detail oriented , with a focused successful outcome approach....Everything one would want in an Eye Surgeon. She is clearly an expert in her field of medicine from whom anyone would be fortunate to experience treatment. Congratulations and thank you to Florida Eye Associates and Health First Medical for having excellent physicians like Dr. Hershberger on their respective Teams.

Detached my retina through her incompetence. Caused permanent damage for life. Is also totally arrogant and self centered. Do not go to her for your own safety. Should be fired.

Dr. Hershberger is not the friendliest person in the world but that doesn't matter, you don't pay her to be your friend, you pay her to be an excellent doctor and surgeon, and that is what she is. Compared to to other doctors in Brevard, she's MUCH more professional, her clinic is more organized and the quality of her work (surgery) is excellent. I had Toric cataract surgery about 1 year ago with her and could not be happier. Highly recommended!

Dr Hershberger is a highly trained retina surgeon. I had cataract surgery at another practice and it didn't go well. I was sent to Dr Hershberger who repaired the damage and saved my sight. The negative comments on here are probably because she is all business. When you have a serious eye problem, she is the doctor you want to see,

Terrible manner

As with many of the reviews, I too had a bad experience with this provider. I did the retina surgery and had a few follow up and after I went to another provider to do my follow up. Though I had to pay the other provider, it was worth it not going back to her. She was chewing me out about not doing the face down in her office and it will not heal. Now my retina hole has closed up and the other provider said that I did a good job of face down. I don't need anyone and certainly not someone am paying to be disrespectful to me. I would not recommend anyone, absolutely no one, to this provider. I wish I had done my home work before seeing this provider. I did not have any issue with the staff, I find that they were pleasant especially those at the surgery center. Thanks ladies for making my surgery a pleasant one. You rock!!!

If I could give Dr. Hershberger negative stars, I would do it. She has NO bedside manner. In fact, she was downright rude. She is beyond useless & I would never consider visiting this doctor again. Highly DO NOT recommend.

Dr. Hershberger saved my sight (detached retina) in 2013. She is now treating my husband for advanced macular degeneration after him being treated elsewhere to no avail. We both find her to be compassionate and eager to offer the best and most aggressive treatments available. It's surprising to see negative reviews for Dr. Hershberger. She is nothing less than wonderful in our eyes.

my wait time was over 3 hours first visit. found retinal detachment, gave me three options. although first two were her choice were in her office, very painful. she chewed me out when the laser was so painful I could not go through it. she doesn't seem to want to perform procedures in a hospital facility even though my insurance covers it. she is very narcissistic. I have spent four days in her office to no avail. Ready to see another opyhamologist.. My retinal detachment is getting worse.

I would not recommend this physican to anyone. She is rude, unfeeling and quite frankly, brutal. Her technician is being trained in the same manner. She believes that she is doing you a favor by treating you and is very happy to tell you so. A written and formal complaint is being prepared.
