Dr. Wayne Shen, MD

FYI they have moved to a new updated location. Regarding Dr. Shen. I have been a patient of his for many years, and he absolutely has gone the extra mile for me and my family members who also see him. As a healthcare professional myself, I have the upmost respect for his knowledge, and expertise. He has always listened, been professional, and demonstrated empathy with our situation.

This Dr has no bedside manner and doesn't listen to what it is the patient has to say.

Dr. Shen cared for my husband for several years, diagnosing and treating Parkinson's as it ran it's course. He always treated us with kindness and respect. He was an excellent listener and explained things to my husband clearly and precisely. After my husband's death, Dr. Shen was the only one of his many doctors who wrote a personal note to me.

Have not had same experience s as other reviewers. Have been seeing Dr Shen for about a year. He is thorough, listens to what I have to say and takes time to explain his findings or recommendations. When I was first referred and read these reviews I was unsure about keeping my initial appt. I am glad I did as he has helped me immensely.

I took my daughter to Dr.Shen for severe migrains, loss of memory, slurred speech and loss of sleep & basically he accused her of doing drugs & when brought to his attention that she had a full blood workup trying to find the problem but everything came out normal, he then tried to say it was a tension headache & prescribed tylenol! All of this diagnosis was done while he left the office at least 3 times because of interruptions! Not to mention his staff had someone elses med chart stapled to my daughters chart, then argued with me when I told them she wasn't on any meds!!

Very unprofessional, horrid bedside manner. I did not feel he listened to me. He came across as very intimidating and very uncaring. His office is in need of a serious overhaul... peeling paint, stains on the ceilings and mismatched furniture that looks like it came from a yard sale in 1970.

First of all the office setting is very outdated and depressing. The office staff in uncaring, rude, and very unprofessional, not to mention an outdated records keeping system, and very limited knowledge of insurance carriers and processes. Dr. has not given a diagoneses after many mos. of hit and miss guess work. Latest experience, he gave me outdated medication, which interacted with my Paxil, and had severe side effects, which he did not know about. Offered no advice but to go to E.R. for treatment. I have not had a follow up call since, and I am still having severe headaches, nausea, and weakness from this episode. He seems to be outdated in treatments and not listen to his patients, or even look at records carefully for duplication of medications with family dr meds, or others.
