Dr. Wendy Mara Merola, MD

Go see any other doctor on Central Texas, trust me. It doesn't matter who you deal with in her office, all are incompetent, lazy, and full of excuses. I should have known something was amiss when I called for my first appointment and she was able to see me that same day. I assumed somebody had cancelled and I had gotten lucky, that wasn't the case. She is probably the only Primary Care Physician in CenTex that you can call any day of the week and be seen that same day. That is a pretty good indication that there aren't many patients in her practice, once you see her you will know why. Do yourself a favor and go see anyone else. If she is your only option, just go to a minor emergency or your local ER.

Exceptional doctor! Dr. Merolla was my physician for the last four years prior to my move to Houston. Caring and compassionate - she provided expert and comprehensive attention to the health needs of both my wife and myself. Always superb patient care with a clear commitment to our well being. We will miss her.

I only go to this doctor because she is on my preferred provider list and you can always get in right away and now I know why. She did not ask any medical questions to determine what the problem was for a correct diagnosis and help. She was unfriendly and unhelpful and after I said what I needed she called me a liar to my face and said she didn't believe my story! Unbelievable! She made a snap judgement regarding me , was not compassionate, very rude and unprofessional. She has forgotten the words to her Hippocratic oath and she touts living a healthy lifestyle while she herself is overweight. Stay far away from this quack.

Dr. Merola is always available and wants to hear about you. She is kind and excellent in her diagnosis.

It's almost funny how despicable this doctor is. I rarely ever write online reviews about anything, but I felt it was my social obligation to do so. From the moment she walks into the room she's outright mean, bossy & rude and makes you feel like she hates your guts for being sick! What's worse, she won't listen to any questions you have, gets angry at you and then just spouts out some generic cookie-cutter information. I was in such disbelief that at some point I remember trying to make her smile. Nothing. Smug, uncaring, stone cold face. To make matters worse, her skills as a doctor are just as bad as her bedside manners. Her diagnosis was wrong AND she never called me back with the results of my blood test. Utterly ridiculous, and it's a shame because she's just a couple minutes away. Never again. As a matter of fact I'm going to report her to the Better Business Bureau. She needs to be shut down. * I feel so bad for her nurses that have to work under this horrible… old crone.

Excellent Doctor and Staff. I have been seeing Doctor Merola for several years. She is wonderful, professional and knows how to diagnose most things and if she can't help you she refers you to a specialist that will know. Great bedside manner and her staff is wonderful like her. My wait time in her office has never been past 15 minutes.

Dr. Merola and her staff are rated 5 star in my book. My experience with Doctor Wendy Merola and her staff have all been very good. My wait time to see her has always been no more than 10 minutes. She is knowledgeable, has a great "bed-side" manner, listens, exams are complete. If Dr. Merola doesn't know something, she will find it out, look it up or refer you to someone who does. I have referred her to many friends and family members. My family likes her very much too, and my children all range in age (20-31). I would rate her and her staff with a 10+++ and trust her with my issues and my family's health.

Love Wendy! She has several times made great referrals to other docs for me. She is patient and willing to take time to really listen to my needs/concerns. Outstanding follow-up as well!
