Dr. William Currie Hulley, DO

I would give zero stars if possible. Go literally anywhere else. My husband is only going here because this is who he saw at a terrible hospital and was forced to follow up with him. The office consists of the rudest people I have ever met, and I worked front desk for a psychiatrist. They refused to answer a simple question until I paid them, which-ok the check did bounce because it was deposited two weeks after it was written and the man writing it has brain damage, thus the neurologist. They then called to tell him he had until 4PM to pay or they would send a prosecutor after him. This caused him to have a seizure (remarkable since he is on 2 high dose medications that 3 other doctors AND 2 pharmacy employees said he should not be on) and he is now out of commission. We now must pay for an ambulance and a hospital visit because this office can’t be bothered to treat respectfully. I have called repeatedly to try and get an answer and after trying to explain twice, they started… just hanging up on me. I understand I was annoying with the calls, but there was no need to treat me like trash when I’m trying to figure things out for my confused, brain damaged, over medicated husband. They are refusing to help us move along his disability claim so that we can afford to keep paying them-also, who only accepts cash or check? Literally just trying to figure out if switching to a competent doctor will delay his disability case or not and they cannot even provide advice on that. I would not trust this office full of rude employees and an inept doctor with my worst enemy. Go literally anywhere else.

Dr. Hulley is a wonderful doctor. He truly knows his craft. He has been nothing but patient with my daughter and I. He asks lots of questions in order to determine what is needed to support my daughter's MS diagnosis. On top of trying to help my daughter, Dr. Hulley listens to my concerns about my daughter, as if I'm one of his patients. I appreciate his genuine care for me, as the caretaker of my 47 year old daughter. Thank you, Dr. Hulley. You're the best! Special thanks to the office crew. The lady at the window is lovely and helpful. When I called for an appointment, she went out of her way to get us in sooner than I expected. Keep up the great work ?? Barbara

1st visit. I am leaving 5 star to improve his rating. Many that left 1 star reviews complain about the rude, not so nice receptionist. I can see their point. On her sliding window are 6 negatives... Do not touch glass, do not tap glass, No credit or debit cards accepted, no smoking, no..no..no... My advice rip all the - off the window. Get a small bell customers can ding to get her attention. Smile a little and be more welcoming and not so short." Here, fill this out " is not how you greet 1st time patients. How about. Welcome to Dr. Hulleys office. We're glad you came and are on time. My name is _____ please fill out this paperwork and if you like there is some coffee , iced tea. Just as soon as Dr. Is finished with his current patient, your next...and I will let you know. Then gently close the sliding window once I turn away....not slam it shut in my face. OMG the reviews are accurate. As for the Doctor himself, solid 5 stars. Good conversation to discuss my issues. Quick tests and… assessment of my condition. He is an old school Doc that has years and years of experience. Rate the Doc, not his office receptionist.

The office staff member lori is extremely rude, and I am unable to go to a provider that has help that treats patients this way. I hope that Dr. Hulley is aware of how she treats patients, as it is a reflection on his practice.

I have seizures.. I broke my leg because of my seizures... I tell the doctor the doctor gives me a referral for another doctor.because now my leg is going numb and my hip is hurting and my back so they gave me some information. they tell me when I go home schedule an appointment. So I do so and then they tell me we don't have a fax from them call them back and give them our fax number . So I do and it was supposed to be sent out.. a week goes by I call the place back to get my MRI they turn around and tell me we still haven't received anything from your doctor. So I called the doctor's office and the lady starts flipping out on me. And then hangs up on me. I call back she tells me that's now how it's done. I asked her to talk to the manager or the doctor she denies me tells me I'm not going to be able to talk to anybody and then hangs up on me The fourth time for my request I call my insurance company and I made an a grievance. If you have a bad day by you waking up and you go to your… job don't take your problems with you. And then start yelling at the patience that come to your office pays you money so that way you have a job. I didn't ask for the attitude or the yelling of the screaming All I did was ask for my appointment... This is why places get a bad rep I feel bad for the doctors that have to work with people like this.. Dr Holly is great but some of his staff they get an f.. if this happens to you from this office please report it no one should be treated that way at all just for asking a question...

He is a good Dr. I seen him years ago, and again in 2017 and now 2022. The neurology community is seriously lacking in Pinellas. I am very Happy with Dr Hulley, Love his experience./expertise.

My daughter had a new patient consult today. She has a condition that required a shunt that seems to be malfunctioning. She just moved from out of state. The Dr said he never heard of that condition, didn't understand why she had a shunt and just take Excedrin. Ordered no tests. Office staff lost her 10 years of records that took a lot of effort to get sent. If she takes excedrin she will end up an emergent shunt revision surgery. Retir if you do not understand medical conditions in your specialty, especially if they have been known about since 1904.Wow, very unprofessional. I hope she can get through until she can get a new consult.

Lori, the office manager, told me that I was hitting on a dead dog when I asked her to waive a fee that was already paid. My grandparents were seen by Dr Hulley and we’re both diagnosed with early Alzheimer’s desease. He is very professional and pleasant to work/speak with; however, the office manager Lori who seem to be somehow related to the doctor is extremely rude and lacks of customer services, people’s skills and even feelings for the ones in need. After paying 230 dollars, Dr. Hulley completed some immigrations forms required so my grandparents could become US citizens, we noticed that the forms were not completed correctly. Information was missing about their medical diagnosis and even there were some questions that were not answered. We had to see the doctor again to asked him to complete the missing fields and questions for the forms to what he referred us to his office manager Lori; she asked us to pay the fee again 165 dollars in cash for each form or she would not have… the doctors signature on the form. When I tried to explain that we could only pay whit a credit card, even though we had pay before and the forms were not completed correctly she said that only cash was accepted and to go back when we have money to pay. She also said that she was the one taking decisions in the office and that NO was the final answer to a pymnt arrangement because “she did not want to do it” and “she did not feel like helping anyone that day” then she said God bless you...does she have a doble personality? Maybe, but she spoke to us in such a detrimental and pitiful way that I was brought into tears. I can’t believe Dr. Hulley accepts those type of treatments to his patients in his office. In another token, I don’t know if they live in the same office building but the comment someone else did about dogs in the office is also true. They have dogs that they bring in and out of the office trough the waiting area and exam rooms. We love animals but don’t understand the reason of this pets inside the doctors office. our immigration application was declined and we have to start all over again thanks to the lack of professionalism and willingness to help from Lori.

Docot and staff are rude. Don't waste your time.

I went there several times. Staff and doctor act like they are tired of working and tired of their patients. No compassion in that office.
