Dr. William O Tatum, DO

It has been a while but Dr. Tatum was great... He listened to you and advised accordingly. In my case, he believed it was heart issue that were causing seizures and not neurological issues and he was right.. This was after 8 years of being told, it was epilepsy from another doc. If you get the opportunity.. he is worth it.. PS to date, he is the only doctor, I have every commented on.

Dr William O. Tatum, for me he did his most efforts to find a solutions for my episodes. I did went there from Tampa, Fl 4 times and he did used the most of his opportunity at Mayo Clinic to find a helper also there but was not so easy anyone else to come and help him to solve my episodes. At the end we did left the Hospital without explanation and a comment that he did to my significant other that I have to live like this the rest of my life. There are no medical explanations for my episodes. A Doctor from Philippines then did gave a name for my episodes. "HEMIBALISMUS EPISODES" which the name it is not familiar with our Doctors here in USA and it is not on Medical Dictionary also. I have to explain most of the times to the Doctors but none of them wants to find a solution or help me to prevent the episodes or keep my pain on a low lever.

He is the best Neurologist that I have came in contact with. I finally have a diagnosis for my condition and a treatment plan. I feel like my care is in good hands. I'm driving 2hrs to see him and I would drive many more. I just want to thank him once again for his services

Very impressed with Dr. Tatum. He diagnosed my focal seizures from a MRI that three other doctors had reviewed, but missed the problem. His bedside manners are great, and follows up with any issues that I might have. So thankful that I found this doctor.

Best Neurologist in Jax

Dr. Tatum is the best Neurologist I have ever had. Unlike most neurologists treating epileptics, he genuinely cares about improving your quality of life and doesn't just attempt to put you on as many medications as possible to control the seizures. He also is very progressive and is willing to use any new technology available to improve your situation. Dr. Tatum is a true advocate for patients and was the sole reason that I was even considered for epilepsy surgery. He was the only doctor who was able to diagnose the type of epilepsy I have and was able to locate the part of my brain that my seizures were coming from. This was after I had already been unsuccessfully treated at many of the top Epilepsy clinics in the Southeast! Adding to that, I was a long distance patient, and he did whatever he could to work with my schedule and cooperated very well with my neurologist where I live. I wouldn't be where I am today without him, to say the least. He accelerated my care immensely, and my… family and I are forever grateful for his help and diligence.

Excellent neurologist. Treats his patients with respect. So sad he left Tampa.

This doctor will go out of his way for his patient, one who thinks he is one of a kind.

This is the worst doctor I have ever been to! He is at a great hospital unfortunately and he is a very bad doctor. He runs the EMU and takes you for every penny. He is not concerned for your health! Stay away from this doctor! He has no bedside manner and no concern for your situation.

Dr. Tatum made a big difference in my life. I used to have several seizures every month, but ever since Dr. Tatum performed brain surgery on me, I've had far fewer seizures. It will soon be one year since I last had one.
