Dr. Yonas Zegeye, MD

guy is a deadbeat doesn't pay his bills. owes me over 10K. has a history of this when you see his credit report and what he did to those poor horses he mistreated and didn't pay for.

He has no people skills, he comes of as very rude, and the wait to see him is always an hour long just to see him for 5 minutes . Stay away !

I had such a wonderful experience at Dr. Zegeye's office. I had severe back and neck pain. The doctor did an ACDF at levels C3-C4 and C4-C5, not only did this completely alleviate my pain it also stopped the spasms in my neck. He and his staff made me feel extremely comfortable. I would recommend this doctor to anyone In need.

Dr. Zegeye performed a laminectomy on me for a herniated disc. The procedure went well and I was getting better. Suddenly after two weeks I developed severe pain that was worse than the herniated disc had been causing. Dr. Zegeye sent me to physical therapy and I complied but to no avail. The pain continued at a level much worse than it had been pre-surgery. He told me that I had failed back syndrome and accused me of being addicted to my pain meds and refused to look into my sudden and severe pain. Luckily a physician friend interceded and setup an appointment with another neurosurgeon. I was seen by the second neurosurgeon and a second operation was performed as quickly as they could schedule it. The discs at L4-L5 and L5-S1 were totally destroyed by the infection and almost liquified. The second surgeon cleaned up the disc area and bone ends as best as he could do. It took 2 weeks for the infectious disease specialist to figure out what I had been infected with. It turned out… that it was an anaerobic bacteria similar to acne. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital and then 6 weeks on IV antibiotics. The infection finally cleared up but the pain never eased up. I spent 4 years on oral meds and lost most of my life during that period. I have lived with an intrathecal morphine pump, pumping morphine and bupivacaine (a numbing medication) into my spinal cord for the last 17 years. The pain is still uncontrollable at times. I have seen the top neuro and orthopedic surgeons in the Northeast corridor there is nothing more they can do for me. Had there been some early action on Dr. Zegeye's part, maybe I would not be crippled at 54 years old. If I could have even gotten him to spend more than 2 minutes with me after I started having issues it may have turned out differently.

Dr. Zegeye was recommended to me by my primary physician. I had had back problems for 20 years since a weight lifting injury and it was a quality of life issue now for someone in their fifties. Disks L3-5 were badly out of alignment. It took two surgeries but the end result was super. I am now pain free thanks to this doctor and his fine staff. Highly recommended!

I have been trying for months to identify a specific neurological problem in my rt. arm & hand. Dr. Zegeye was not only the 1st & only doctor to figure it out, but he very clearly showed me evidence of his diagnosis & thoroughly explained both the problem & the solution. I go in for the corrective surgery in exactly 2 weeks & have absolutely full confidence in his ability to do it well. I'll review him again after the surgery.
