Dr. Yong Qing Liu, MD

I went in as a new patient. She was late to the appt (this happens, I understand), but then she didn't have the time to complete the exam--as a new patient I still had stuff to discuss. Sorry--"make another appt, or talk to me about it out here in the hallway" (in public). I guess the lunch break was more important. Exam room was shabby, she walked in and shook my hand and never once washed her hands, didn't take my temp or check eyes, ears nose or throat, zero questions about everyday life issues/situation, barely got me the referrals I needed.

I initially was denied an appointment for illness because I had not yet seen MD Liu for my initial new patient appointment. Being denied medical care in the past after selecting a new physician through my new insurer has not been my past experience with other providers. My initial visit resulted in a one-hour wait. Thereafter, the MD was extremely rushed during this visit, but did give me multiple health referrals to Specialists, which I am thankful for. My second appointment, I waited 1.5 hours without being seen. Finally I left, in part because I had another engagement and in part because it was so late, her office actually had closed! I received no follow-up call from her office.

Great doctor very thorough

I found it terribly alarming that I was told to make an appointment if I needed to have a medication refilled. Also, that I must make an appointment to bring up a pre-existing problem, even if I just wanted to have an expanded x-ray done on that affected joint. Seems like abuse of the Medicare system...Kaiser wouldn't act this way! (Oh...and I was informed NOT to send faxes to the office...schedule an appt - apparently it's all about generating revenue) What happened to the good old days of medicine?

I would recommend Dr. Lui as I think she takes a conservative approach but is very through.

I had to wait 6 weeks to get a new/patient appointment. Well worth the wait. Dr. seemed very knowledgable, and took exceptionally long time with me. Office staff was very caring and was able to answer many insurance questions.

Caring, meticulous, and careful doctor. Dr Liu's Pharm.D is an added benefit. Only drawback is her consistently unpleasant, unhelpful, and surly receptionist. We endure the receptionist due to limited options in our town.
