Dr. Yuzuru Anzai, MD

Dr. Anzai is one of the kindest, most caring doctors I have ever had. He was present at my first delivery, and he was the OB for my second pregnancy and delivered that baby. I didn't felt judged for asking off-the-wall pregnancy questions; he was never dismissive and always reassuring. Between his experience and his commitment to evidence-based medicine, I trust him completely. My first pregnancy was difficult; if I choose to have another pregnancy and baby, it will be in part because I feel confident in Dr. Anzai's exceptional care.

I’ve been his patient since I was 27 or 28. I delivered two babies. So it’s almost 20 years now. I never had an issue with him, and am grateful that he’s been my OBGYN doctor.

I had my first baby with Dr Anzai and I am back to him with my second pregnancy, although by now we have moved out of the city to Westchester, but I do not want to see another doctor but him. He is always extremely polite, caring and professional. Yes, he does not talk much, but he always communicates the necessary/vital information to me and my husband clearly. When I had my first baby, it was not Dr Anzai's shift at the hospital, but I had complications and he came to the hospital to help me, even if it was Sunday and was not even his shift! (apparently he called the dr on shift and asked how things were when he saw that I was admitted). If he wasn't there, it would have been a cesarean, he did the forceps delivery which was very smooth and with no complications for my baby and myself (he is the expert). I am very grateful to him and did not even think about going to another doctor with the second one. Highly recommend him, this is the doctor by vocation!

FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR if you have any concern/complication that may make you ask questions. Obviously he doesn't like being asked questions. He and other staffs did not show slightest bit of courtesy. We have never been maltreated in such way - our first appointment got cancelled from their side one day before the appointment. They kept us waiting for nearly two hours even though we came to the office on time. They never got back to us to follow up our visit, or make another appointment etc. Mr. Anzai (He doesn't deserve designation "Dr") and his staff are anything but medical professional

even though I had an appointment they made me wait almost 1hour. I should have just left. Doctor Anzai and his assistant both of them were so unfriendly. I did some exam there, so I talked to doctor over the phone, I asked some questions and he didn't like it. His voice tone changed and hanged up on me. I won't go back .

Horrible doctor. Doesn't explain procedures, options, side/after effects, test results and more! Must be good for Japanese patients who don't (can't) question much.

He practices evidence-based medicine. Spends as much time as needed by my wife and I.
