Dr. Albert Clark Ruttinger

Dr. Ruttinger and his entire staff are extraordinarily good in how they've provided medical care for my wife and me. Wait times are what anyone can expect at any medical facility everywhere. We have never had any occasion to wait that was excessive. The staff is very competent in scheduling appointments and calling with reminders about upcoming office visits. Dr. Ruttinger is honest and forthright in his diagnosis of whatever ails you. He listens intently to what we have to say without being dismissive. This quality is not found in so many in the medical field. We are fortunate to have such an extraordinarily good doctor.

Poor listener, Insurance Whiner, Incompetent Staff, Long Wait, Ultra Rude.

I tried multiple primary care doctors in surprise before a friend recommended Dr Rettinger. I couldn’t seem to find one who really seemed to know anything. I got everything from it was all in my head to I should have unnecessary tests and procedures because insurance will pay for it. Money seemed to be the only motivation for the doctors I was dealing with. Dr Rettinger is completely different. He wants long term doctor-patient relationships, is alway available, very responsive, devotes time to every visit, listens to my issues, gives honest and complete answers to questions, then provides complete and comprehensive medical care. I recommend Dr Rettinger to anyone looking for a real doctor who truly cares for his patients. I’ll stay with him for as long as he’ll have me

Unfortunately my mothers doctor of many years had to retire due to her health and we were referred to Dr Ruttinger by her insurance company. We decided to stick to the insurance company that she has been with for years and made an appointment with him even though it meant travelling to Surprise from Wickenburg to see him . Every time we see him he is so condescending and rude. Plus having to wait for over an hour each time we have an appointment. Yesterday's visit was the worse! He always asks what we are in to see him about even though it was a followup visit. So when he asked what we were seeing him for I thought it was for the results of a recent test he had sent her for. He informed me it was not and began reprimanding us. He said if we wanted the test results that we should have asked the front desk to look for them so that they would have time to get them before the appointment. How would we know that we would have to ask for something the doctor had ordered??? He treats us… like children, talks down to us and is an out right bully. The one thing he will talk freely about is his dislike for the insurance company we are with and for any Banner affiliated hospital. He even made a comment to the front desk, loud enough for my friend who was in the waiting room to hear, that he hated the patient referrals he was receiving from Wickenburg. I complained to the front desk yesterday about this because I was so upset that I was in tears. However now I wonder if he will try to retaliate against my mother. Very unhappy! He is RUDE, RUDE, RUDE.

Do not go to this doctor! He does not listen to what you say, he sits there with his huge belly hanging over his lap and looks down his nose at you. He is fired! Plus, I waited almost an hour and a half to see him. His front desk staff told me that it's normal to wait over an hour for him.

I have been a patient of Doctor Ruttinger for the past 9 years. He is a very good doctor but has a horrible and rude front office male receptionist who called me up to update my records by calling me over using his finger like if I was in trouble or something. He has a not friendly face and I do not like him at all. I love the girls they are very good my husband and I love them. Bernice is a very sweet lady.

My husband and I have been going to him for more than five years. He is always able to get my husband in when her is having a breathing attack. He is a no nonsense doctor but very good. Some people like to complain about the office but when you have bad insurance it is not the doctor's fault.

He's not a nice doctor very poor staff. Been with this doctor for over 11 years. Looking for new doctor for medical reasons and professional help. Review records before excepting first appointment .

Dr. Ruttinger spent more time complaining about my insurance and the system then he did talking about my condition. I came for help, not to hear his political rantings. Dr. was very condescending to me and thought he was wasting his time because I had a Medicare Advantage insurance plan. Will not go back.
