Dr. Aaron Robert Kern, MD

Whenever I accompanied my father to an appointment with Dr. Kern and my father would ask a question, Dr. Kern would say, “You’re in great shape! What...do you want to live forever?” Dr. Kern blew off my dad’s concerns for years but my dad, being of that generation that revered doctors, refused to see anyone else. Turns out my dad had cancer after all. A decade earlier, my dad had raved about Dr. Kern so I went to see him about my chest pains. He prescribed 800mg of ibuprofen because he said giving me a prescription would be cheaper than my taking a bunch of Advil. I asked if that wasn’t just masking the problem since he hadn’t discovered the source of the pain. He said if my pain went away, I wouldn’t have a problem anymore, would I? Turns out I have 3 leaky heart valves. I can hardly believe he stayed in business long enough to misdiagnose my father.

I was a patient of Dr Kern for over 10 years and he decide he was going to terminate our doctor/patient relationships leaving me having to go find another doctor. I was going through so much in my life and we had a few disagreements that could have easily been patched up with better communication. Very disappointing and surprised he would do this. There’s always an ulterior motive with doctors be it their reputation or money. Just hurtful to me and causing more stress in my life.

Dr. Kern is the best doctor. He pays attention to his patients and he is a great listener. I am so lucky to have him as my family doctor.

He listens and takes the time to answer and explain. He puts an emphasis on prevention. I appreciate his sebse of humor.
