Dr Aaron Pelletier, MD

Aaron Pelletier, M.D., a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at City of Hope® Cancer Center Chicago. He is an expert in complex and minimally invasive surgical techniques designed to repair or rebuild parts of the body affected by cancer or its treatments. He has a special focus on reconstructive surgeries for the head and neck, breast and other abdominal areas, as well as the pelvis and extremities.Drawn to City of Hope by its comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to care, Dr. Pelletier believes in crafting individualized treatment plans that incorporate innovative therapies and supportive care. He seeks to understand his patients’ diagnosis and health goals and to educate them on the reconstructive surgical options available to them, ensuring they play an active role in their care.Dr. Pelletier received his medical degree at the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, then completed a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University …of Chicago Medical Center, where he was named a Zaccone Family Fellow of Reconstructive Microsurgery and Breast Surgery.A board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Pelletier is also a physician-scholar. He served as a research technician at UNC’s Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and has published research in journals including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery and Current Reconstructive Surgery.
