Dr. Abdul Tariq, DO

I normally don’t leave reviews, but I feel like I need to share my experience so others are aware. I was under this doctor’s care for over a year and a half and had a total of six seizures during that time. Despite repeatedly asking for an MRI and blood work, my concerns were brushed off. I was even told that blood work isn’t something neurology typically does, which didn’t sit right with me considering everything I was going through. Almost every visit included a student present, and it was never really made to feel like a choice or comfortable situation. During my last visit, there were three medical students in the room, which made me feel very uncomfortable and brushed off rather than cared for as a patient. On top of that, I later found what I believe to be incorrect or false information in my medical records. During that same visit, my mother-in-law was present and was also very concerned by what she heard and saw in the notes, including mentions of multiple hospital visits… that did not happen and incorrect milligrams listed for medications I was taking at the time. I also noticed multiple pharmaceutical representatives in and out of the office during my visits, frequently bringing lunch to the doctor and interacting with the front desk staff. This appeared to be a regular occurrence and added to my concern about the professionalism and focus on patient care. What concerns me the most is that after I requested my medical records, I was reported to the DMV just three days later. This had never been done before, even though my condition had been ongoing the entire time I was a patient. The timing feels very questionable and honestly upsetting. The front desk was also very disorganized and not helpful, which made everything even more stressful. Overall, I felt unheard, dismissed, and not properly cared for. This experience was frustrating and concerning, and I would not recommend this office based on the lack of attention, professionalism, and care I received.

He not only uses his patients as lab rats for the multiple students that are constantly sitting in on his appointments, but he will have the wrong notes and put your life at risk. I would be very cautious before considering him. I believe he needs more education. And should NOT be educating students. He sat there with arrogance as he started to read his notes which were false including medications he prescribed.And then when you ask for you medical records he will turn you into the aDMV because it effects his ego. If I could give him 0 stars I would. He was called in to consult on my mom. He came in right as she was done throwing up and we told him how her headache was in the same area of where they were monitoring. He did not even come into the room and check her over. Stood in the hallway and just said could be an abnormality see a specialist in 3-6 months. He was very cold and unprofessional. Did not even allow us the time to ask questions. Wasn't even with us for 2 minutes before he was walking away. Nurses had to yell after him to get instructions on what to do next. If you didn't want to give care he shouldn't have became a doctor.
