Dr. Abdur Rasheed Khan, MD

I have been going to Dr. Abdur Khan for over 17 years with my family as well. He is a very sweet, considerate doctor, as is his wife, a pediatrician in the same practice. He listens to you very well and usually takes care of all things you come to him with. He doesn't push things I don't want like Flu Shots (once he knew I did not prefer them) and if I am having a problem he works with me to find the right medication like for example for my allergies, I was getting chest pain with specific blood pressure medications and he was willing to try new ones until we found the right one. He does send you to the ER if he feels your problem is outside of his range of help but in general I really love him and his wife, they are very good people. The staff is nice, a little low on pleasantries, and does not have a high turnover, but they are not overly involved or chatty. I prefer them to be out of my business anyway however the one area I feel that could be improved is refills. They always… want to see you before giving refills on heart medications and things like that which is probably a good thing anyway. As a general doctor he is just fine and much more kind and considerate than most. He is not an aggressive doctor so if you have a more rare condition he will likely refer you to another doctor or to the ER for emergencies. He is extremely polite and takes his time with you which I think is super awesome. His wife is amazing as well, she really cares about you and she loves your pictures up on her walls. They are a great doctor to go to if you are looking for a very nice general family doctor. Also in 17 years I have not had any billing issues with them even one time. They do their billing properly. Sometimes it can be a bit slow but I feel the personal kindness they show is worth the little extra time. Other times they are fast depending on how busy they are.

I have seen Dr Khan for over 26 years I overlooked the high turnover rate of the staff because he was always an excellent Doctor. Recently they had a management change and it seems the office is money hungry. When asked the doctor he doesn't seem to know whats going on at the front. He seems to be forgetting things lately. Unfortunately after so many years I have to seek another doctor. The staff at the front is not courteous at all

Not a smart chic office, but a smart commonsense doctor. Caring, good at diagnosing.
