I am giving Dr. Abe Kaplan of Premier Eyecare in BG the highest possible rating. Following Cataract Surgery through a different provider, my eysight quickly deteriorated to the point where I was unable to read. My previous provider advised that I wait to see if it improved in six months. I contacted Dr. Kaplan for a second opinion. He took an immediate interest, ran a bunch of tests, and identified the source of my trouble as a treatable eye condition. Within a month, my reading vision improved and it is now restored. What impressed me about Dr. Kaplan was his immediate interest in tackling my condition, his determination in identifying the cause, and his skill in treating it.

Dr. Kaplan is very friendly and he made sure that I really understood my results and what was happening with my eyes. I appreciated the time and care he spent.

Dr. Kaplan is, in my opinion, an excellent surgeon. He goes above and beyond the norm to explain the issues and the surgical procedure. He also gives detailed explanations of what he did and how the eye was improving after the surgery during the follow visits.

Professional, patient - takes the time to explain everything so you understand what needs to be done and is being done.

I took my ninety four year old aunt to see Dr.Kaplan because she had been seeing another eye Dr. for years who did not solve her eye problem. One exam and just listening to her he solved the problem. His kind words and reassuring way of treating her made the world of difference.

Dr. Kaplan was very professional, explained my condition clearly and took the extra step of caution in referring me to a retina specialist for a second opinion. The specialist confirmed Dr. Kaplan's diagnosis and affirmed his decision in sending me to the specialist. I would highly recommend him.

Never write reviews...but Dr. Abe Kaplan was so good it is the least I could do. If anyone is looking for an eye physician or switching to a "new guy" this will be worth your while. Never felt rushed, answered all questions, followed-up as if you're one of the family, and genuinely cares about his patients.
