Dr. Abid Ashfaq Qureshi, MD

It is my opinion that Dr. Qureshi is the best back doctor in the area. He operated on my husband’s back for 7 straight hours and improved his quality of life significantly. He recently reviewed my MRI’s and reassured me that I didn’t need surgery at this time. He is kind, friendly, communicates well, and is extremely competent.

Very personable and professional, great bedside manners. Explanation of surgery was exactly how it went, would recommend Doctor Qureshi ????????????

Strongly recommend Dr. Qureshi. He evaluated my needs, explained my options, performed the surgery, and took care of me post surgery with true professionalism and kindness.

I was disappointed with my visit. I was referred to Dr. to review my X-rays and all he could tell me was I was at the wrong doctor. I kept trying to explain to him I wanted him to evaluate my X-rays but he wouldn't listen. It would have been nice if he reviewed my X-rays with me. I felt like because I did not need surgery he had no interest in chatting with me. Waste of my time, and he made me feel like I was wasting his.

Dr Qureshi was very knowledgeable and and helpful to me , he went beyond what I was there for he is very caring about his patients his whole staff there was so nice to me where other doctors just get you in and out Dr. Qureshi stayed and took good care of me and cared what I was going through thank you Dr. Qureshi and staff I appreciate you all for being there for me whole time I was there

DR QURESHI DIAGNOSED, TREATED MY BACK PAIN WITH EPIDURAL SHOTS AND FINALLY SURGERY. AFTER THE OPERATION IN JANUARY OF 2023, I AM PAIN FREE AND CANNOT THANK HIM ENOUGH.

***BEWARE: AVOID THIS DOCTOR*** Very Sexist & EGO MANIAC I was referred to Dr. Qureshi by my PCP at standford. i have had a loose piece of bone at the tip of my tailbone for a long time and it is getting worse very painful. I was reviewed by My PCP, and another medical staff person, i believe an RN who said she specializes in all of the unusual of difficult tailbone issues, at Dr Qureshi's OWN main office Golden State Orthopedics. Her name was Laura Davis. she said, Normally they just let tail bones heal But, in my case for lots of reasons i won't go into on this review but she highly recommended seeing a surgeon there at GSO, to get my piece of bone removed. my PCP also concluded i needed to have my tail bone tip removed. ***Dr Qureshi never even reviewed my file, he didnt even know i have type 1 diabetes until i told him bc he was just winging it at my appointment. he said "all tailbones just heal", which is not true mine unfortunately has not in over 2 yrs and now that its moving… its hurting more and causing serious pain. when i mentioned his OWN colleague had already reviewed my file and also sent me for an MRI and CT to prep me for surgery so that she covered all bases. ****This pig of a man just kept saying, well SHE is not a doctor is SHE as if his own colleague who is female and by the way my PCP who is male and great guy both concluded the same thing but dr qureshi didnt know that my doctor is also a DO so he really know ortho and even did a residency at GSO, so really it was 2 colleagues that disagreed with dr qureshi and me, and he just kept saying, SHE is not a dr like that would make me like him better. nope i'd rather have a competent dr who actually read my file and a female RN who specializes in tail bones who spent a lot of time with me give me her honest opinion then this hack. he said he'd just use steroids cortisone and that was best "for all tail bones" also not true bc steroids just increase blood sugar and that is really bad for healing. when i mentioned this he finally agreed now knowing more about me specifically **** here is the worse part***** when i asked why not just take it out he started to make up all kinds of excuses, like surgery can cause infections, bc it was near my bowel, ok, i said can't a loose bone floating around riping things in there also do the same thing? he said well, after thinking about it, yes thats true so i said maybe i should have it out then? and he said yes you really should but he finally then admitted "we don't do that surgery anymore" its called a tailbone or cockyx ejectomy fancy word for take my tail bone out, and asked why? he said and I quote " it's economically not feasible" huh???? thats right folks, the dr said he wouldnt do the surgery bc he wouldnt make enough money doing it, bc he said OR rooms charge him so much money to rent them etc at the hospital. yep so Dr Qureshi is practicing medicine based on whether or not he wants to see the MOST PROFITABLE patients that's malpractice IMHO. i am fully insurance with best PPO plan and dr qureshi can't make that work, that's not only sad it should be illegal. he never followed up and never got me any referral to a surgeon to help me. *****AVOID GOLDEN STATE ORTHO AT ALL COSTS*****

Dr. Qureshi was extremely empathetic to my pain, explained my options, he did his homework prior to the surgery, and explained the details to me to finally perform the surgery superbly. The post surgery here that I received from Dr. Qureshi and his team was no less. I would recommend Dr. Qureshi and his team to all.

Dr. Qureshi is one of the best workers comp doctors I have had so far. Very soft spoken and compassionate. He explained everything in detail of my injury and what needed to be done. Thanks Dr. Qureshi!

Dr Qureshi did a wonderful job on my spine. I couldn't take a walk or stand in line without severe pain. I'm now pain free and can walk as much as I like. I'm so grateful for his help and would recommend him to anyone.
