Dr. Adam J Cohen, MD

Four years later and my eyes still couldn't be fixed by two South Korean board-certified surgeons after the THREE BOTCHED SURGERIES from Cohen. The damage is permanent and my eyes changed forever. I've been and am still suffering greatly from this nightmare. I've consulted with at least 6 other US surgeons and they all agreed that I didn't need the surgeries (blepharoplasty, fat grafting, Muellerectomy) that Cohen had convinced me to do. They all agreed the surgeries were horrendous, botched, and unnecessary. Cohen is only a ophthalmologist. He is NOT a serious, board-certified surgeon. I've spoken to other victims of his and the stories they shared were absolutely shocking and horrendous. Based on another review from one of his other victim, she said he seemed like a psychopath. After speaking with the other victims, I truly believe he is. Unfortunately, I was not able to file a lawsuit against him, but I believe there is one victim who was successful in bringing a lawsuit… against him. I hope he can NEVER practice again and that she sues him out of existence. He's caused too many pain, suffering, and permanent injuries to so many of his victims.

I went to Dr. Adam Cohen (same guy but in the Chicagoland area) for an upper blepharoplasty at the recommendation of my long-time ophthalmologist. Cohen also told me I needed a lower bleph. I now have had three surgeries with Cohen and have gone to a corrective ocular plastic surgeon who said I was totally BOTCHED. My left eyelid doesn't close all the way, my right eyebrow is completely desensitized and I was told that Cohen likely cut a nerve--the eyelid is still too heavy, and after two surgeries to my lower lids, they're worse than the first time I walked through Dr. Adam Cohen's doors. My quote for corrective surgery well exceeds the the five-figure investment with Cohen. FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR!

Dr. Cohen has completely destroyed my eyes. I've consulted with 4 different oculoplastic and cosmetic surgeons and they have all agreed that my eyes are irreversibly damaged and there's no going back. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars to find a fix for a hosts of issues that he caused. I traveled to South Korea to try to have some of the problems fixed. I grew up being considered very attractive with beautiful eyes and now I look like a small-eyed alien. Thanks to him for destroying my confidence, self-esteem, causing depression, and suicidal thoughts. I hate this guy with every inch of my being. I'm currently talking to a couple of lawyers to file a lawsuit against him. Whatever new review posts that go up on yelp, google reviews, regarding eye surgeries with him, I believe, are all fake. Please read all the reviews you can find about him.

Dr. Cohen is amazing. He is honest and transparent. I love his bedside manner- he's like talking to an old friend. His office is comfortable and clean. His staff is incredible- They are like a family, and you feel like a member of that family as soon as you walk in the door. Aggie's facials are AWESOME- I received compliments on my skin for weeks after! I started going to them for med-spa needs, and will continue going in perpetuity. I'd miss them otherwise! I have recommended Dr. Cohen and his team to all of my friends, my mom and my coworkers!

I saw Dr. Cohen for Entropion surgery several months ago. It required 3 visits, a consultation, a surgical procedure and a follow- up. I felt as if it was a brother caring for my vision. He was informative, empathetic and professional. I was very satisfied then as well as now. Thanks Doc.

This guy is a serial liar, a horrible communicator, a greedy and dishonest person, and a incompetent eye doctor. He has destroyed my eyes and worst he permanently damaged my perfect vision. I found Dr. Cohen while looking for specifically a upper eyelid filler injection doctor. Called his office to confirm and was told that he DOES perform that procedure. During consultation, he told me he DOES NOT do that procedure. He repeatedly pushed a Muellerectomy procedure and upper eyelid fat repositioning and grafting multiple times via face-to-face and email. Of course $6400 for those procedures is more lucrative than $700 for fillers and I fell victim to his greed and lies. He lied that he can provide steroid shots to keloids caused by eyelid surgery. He lied that he would provide drugs needed for surgery. My whole experience has been a complete nightmare. First picture of my perfect eyes 1 month before first surgery. Second picture is what happened because of the fat repositioning… procedure that he did. During the first surgery I asked him to also add fat and not just fat repositioning. He rejected that request. I asked for the steroid injection to get rid of the large keloid from his poor skills. He rejected that request. Second surgery, he wanted to remove some of the upper eyelid skin. I told him he needed to add more fat to the hollow area and he rejected that request. During my follow-up with him after the second surgery, I was upset that the eyelid skin barely changed. He SPECIFICALLY told me he can fix it by either doing a filler injection or fat grafting. I caught him in his lie! I confronted him and his response was "I can do the filler injection. Oh NO, NO, I don't do filler injections". Third surgery he said he needed to do the fat grafting. Turns out I was right. But he had previously rejected that request for the second surgery. He said multiple times he will provide the relaxation medication for the third surgery. I was already on the operation table when he tells me he does not have any and that I should ask my friend to go pick some up for me. That wasn't possible so I ended up having a severe panic attack, hyper-ventilating, and crying hysterically during the surgery. During the follow-up, I confronted him on all the lies and the damage he did to my eyes and eye sight and the whole time he either wouldn't respond or denied everything. Talk about being a complete scumbag. Third picture is him destroying my eyes furthermore and permanently. An eye doctor told me that my upper eye waterline is completely exposed and my eyes do not close completely during sleep and as a result my eyesight is damaged. I can't believe I paid almost $7000 for an incompetent liar to f**k up my eyes and make me look worse. I regret ever meeting this guy. I asked for half of my money back, but he rejected it. I hope no one else ever becomes a victim to this greedy scumbag.

De Cohen saved my eyesight!!! I had terrible headaches and he sent me to the ER and convinced them to keep me overnight for observation and to conduct a spinal tap... Probably saved my eyesight; I will forever be grateful to this doctor!!!

Competent surgeons performing serious medical interventions don't need to use questionable tactics to sell their services. Don't line the pockets of industry dracula's preying on your vulnerabilities. Do intense sole searching prior to entering such an agreement and do your homework.

More concerned about money, office good for skin care But after experience with office, not returning calls, abrupt office manager etc would not do surgery with them .the office was empty , they offered me surgery within a few days , does not seem too busy , so I will not proceed with and will not recommend them to anyone Bad bad experience over all . He is an Eye doctor nota plastic surgeon if he was such a good eye doctor why is he spending so much time doing skin care, I want a surgeon with lost of experience

Not a plastic surgeon he is an eye doctor. Had 2 redo eyelid surgery twice then had to go to another doctor to correct what he did to me. Asked for my money back spent over $9000.00 he said he would only give me back $3500.00 cause 1 eye was good.Unreal
