Best OBGYN!

I would highly recommend working with Dr. Nickel and his staff! I chose to wait to leave this review until 6 weeks postpartum and continue to be impressed with the helpfulness of Dr. Nickel and his office staff. At our first pregnancy appointment Dr.. Nickel told my husband and I that his #1 goal is to ensure that both mother and baby are healthy during pregnancy and remain healthy through delivery and recovery and he did a great job of making sure that was the case for us! Every nurse, friend and family member that I've spoken to have only had positive things to say about Dr. Nickel and his staff! Throughout this process Dr. Nickel and his staff have been knowledgeable, extremely helpful and well organized. His office is located right across the street from Tacoma General and there is a blood lab in his building where you can get all your blood work done throughout the pregnancy which can be very convenient! Unlike many OBGYNs, Dr. Nickel makes a point of trying his best to be at the… hospital when it comes time to deliver which can be a big comfort for many first time moms! Overall, my husband and are very happy that we decided to work with Dr. Nickel for our first pregnancy, we're blessed to have welcomed a healthy baby and are happy to have moved from a family of two to a family of three!

I started seeing Adam Nickel little over 5yrs ago. He WAS AMAZING!!!!!!! 5yrs later I wish I felt the same. After we have been trying for another baby for almost 2yrs nowwe go see and and he gives us a plan. 2 weeks after and doing my half of the plan I call his office to say I did ABC and I need to come in so we can do his part DEF and I get a call back from the nurse saying I talked to him and he doesnt do that type of thing. I'm baffled so upset that I put myself in medical debt doing my half he some how 2 weeks later no longer does that. I'm hurt and angry like what shes like yeah sorry he said he doesn't I said 2 weeks ago he said he would shes like I just talked to him he said he doesn't hasnt in a long time. So I'm now off to find a new doctor who can hopefully help me find answers. His ego is growing just like his practice which isnt going to keep growing if he starts treating patients bad the way he treated my family and I.

He delivered my first, but I have PTSD from the birth and horrible PPD. Now I am expecting a second and called. Rude staff. Dr Nickel rushes you through your appointment. I confronted them about their rudeness and they said, “we are an extension of his care, so if you don’t like us you should see someone else. You’re not a good fit” to an expecting mother who is already emotional. Also, they would not see me unless I got a blood test to confirm the pregnancy. I’m sorry, but If a patient wants to see you to discuss current medications and which ones are harmful - you shouldn’t make them feel like you are a burden.

I found the ultra sound technician (Sonja I think her name was, or Susan) to be pretty rude and condescending and I did not appreciate her general attitude toward me at all, but other than that I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Nickel and his staff. I am absolutely ecstatic at finding such a smart, skilled Doctor with such a calming presence and such an easily accessible office catered to each patients comfort and peace of mind.
