Dr. Adam Scott Reynolds, MD

I am a patient of Dr Reynolds and I really disagree with these low ratings!! He has no control of scheduling, that is done by the office. He also is limited to probably 15 min which is standard now. Also if he has an emergency in another room he’s got to deal with that asap. How do I know all this to be true. I have two brothers that are top radiologists in there area. Also a daughter that is a R.N. Be patient as they are also human and are dealing with issues themselves. We never know!

My experience with Dr. Reynolds consisted of two visits. On both ocassions, he spent the most minimal time possible to examine me. He would appear non-plussed about my condition, and then abruptly state that he had to leave in order to see his next patient. He then proceeded to charge out of the exam room as if being chased by a Javalina(a wild pig-like animal indigenous to Arizona). Dr. Reynolds has no bedside manner. Spend your money on a competent neurologist....not him.

On two separate occasions, I have been seen by Adam Reynolds, MD. On the first visit, I was escorted to one of his exam rooms where I waited for nearly one half hour before Dr. Reynolds appeared. His examination of me was unusually brief. He does not perform a typical exam. He did not begin by discussing with me any medications that I take. He did not discuss with me my medical history. He spent a total of ten (10) minutes with me then abruptly excused himself saying he needed to see his next patient. This abrupt exit on his part denied me the opportunity to ask him questions about both my symptoms, as well as what conditions could be causing my problem. During this ten (10) minute meeting, I found Dr. Reynolds to present himself as being in a hurry, in addition to which(I can only describe) as blatantly failing to develop even a minimal connection with me, the patient. I also found him to be lacking in his communication skills(if he in fact possesses any). He demonstrated as being in… such a hurry, that he left his assistant to describe to me the Drs. plan for attempting to diagnose my problem. I was scheduled to return in two weeks for neurological testing. Although Dr. Reynolds himself personally conducted this test, his description of the results lacked detail, and he clearly displayed an expression of having no clue as to a diagnosis. Despite this, he presented very clearly that I did not need surgery. He did'nt even offer to me a medication until I asked him for something to control my discomfort. Again, this was my second, and final, visit with Dr. Reynolds. Over the intervening weeks, his prescribed medication provided me virtually no relief. As a result, I made a regular effort to contact him about my situation. When talking about a physicians 'bedside manner', Dr. Reynolds does'nt have one. Through my efforts to communicate with him I discovered the following: 1. Dr. Reynolds does not return patient phone calls(seemingly under any circumstances). 2. His clinic has a 'portal' which gives patients the opportunity to contact his office for a number of purposes including concerns about your case, medication refills, increased dosage of medication, and to bring to his attention any other relevant issues. Not only does Dr. Reynolds not personally respond to phone messages, he does not personally respond to his portal messages. Dr. Reynolds(at least with me) does not score any points for demonstrating concern for his patients. He passes that responsibility to his underlings who are not M.D.s. As a result of my letting him know through his subordinates that my medication was not helping, he changed, and increased the dosages so many times, I could not keep up with the changes. Finally, when I had enough of Dr. Reynolds, and his potentially harmful practices, I complained to the Clinic Mgr. Rather than showing compassion, and understanding of my problem, she simply conveyed to me from Dr. Reynolds that he had no idea of the cause of my problem. Further, he conveyed through the mgr. that there was nothing more he could do for me, and that, apparently in his opinion, that I do not need a Neurologist. I find it perplexing, and shocking that a physician who spent, at best, twenty (20) minutes with me that he could arrive at such conclusions. With Dr. Reynold's peculiararities, I strongly discourage utilizing his practice.

Went in for analysis of a just completed EEG. 1. Reynolds and his Intern did NOT wear masks 2. No detailed overview given of the just completed EEG 3. Had to remind him to go over recent 'seizure' like incidents 4. Showed no indication of having prepared or read any records 5. Was obviously impatient to finish consult - left early 6. No followup

Too soon to upgrade to 5-stars. But, definitely 4-stars. I have read the negative reviews here and, based upon my own experience, I believe most to be overly subjective due to the nature and severity of diagnosed illnesses. Unfortunately, I too fall into this group. But, it is what it is.

My wife had been going to Banner for many years for neurology evaluation and was blown off and was told she looked “better than advertised“. We got a second opinion with Dr. Reynolds and the care has been outstanding since. Everything was diagnosed appropriately and treated correctly. He listens, he is compassionate and most importantly very intelligent. As a healthcare provider myself I would send any of my family members to see him.

Dr Reynolds is terrible. If you don’t mind waiting forever and spending 4 minutes with the doctor only for him not to be of any help at all. Do not go see him.

I was seen Jan. 22, 2020 by Dr. Reynolds at the River Road office. First impression was a cattle call and in such a hurry to process and get rid of. He said 2 condescending words and then dropped me as a patient by CERTIFIED MAIL. I picked up his evaluation and it is filled with lies and i think the whole tests were not even done right. For all the pain I'm in, he didnt care and didnt even have the courage to defend his actions. Instead some scapegoat Ops mngr came out and lied to my face. Good riddance you coward Reynolds.

Dr Reynolds has been patient, knowledgeable and worked very hard to get my illness under control. He has been on call for the hospital and still took time to make sure I understand what I need to be doing to have a better quality of like. He has been very respectful and kind to me. I have been ill for the last 12 years so I have been and seen many doctors for other things and he and my PCP have been the best. Nest bedside manner. Have read many reviews and I feel sad for the people that haven't had the same experience he has given me.

Dr Reynolds has treated me with kindness and respect every time I have seen him. As well as his superior knowledge about my medical issues. He strives to help me improve my quality of life. Thank you I am forever grateful to have you as my Doctor!
