Dr. Adam Peter Smith, MD

In 2014 Dr. Smith gave me back my life. For over 5 years I had been dealing with back pain and sciatica. I was a full time ER nurse and the pain in my back was limiting me to only working 1-12hr shift a week and laying flat on my back the rest of the week. I had seen 2 other neurosurgeons and was still suffering. Finally God put Dr Smith in my life. Dr Smith ordered a new MRI, the other doctors were looking at an older MRI ( 3 years old) and found that the best treatment would be a spinal fusion. The surgery was to take 7 hrs, it took 10 as the damage was worse than Dr. Smith thought it would be. Long story short I had no post-op problems, no infections, no pain control issues, nothing. 4 years later and I work 40+ hrs a week and never have back pain, Dr Smith is a true miracle worker.

I saw Dr. Smith after seeing numerous prior surgeons. I liked his demeanor and his staff was wonderful. Even though I already tried injections and therapy he offered more conservative options prior to surgery. Happy to find a surgeon not pushing for surgery.

I can only hope that the good doctor will respond to this comment.I have waited to use my wrists and my back bones and muscles, and am still unable to. It's like once the money run out, so does the service. I wish he would see me one last time for a follow up appt. I really enjoyed speaking with his ad admin, who knew everything about his procedure.

I was referred to Dr. Smith from my physical therapist. I had previously seen a surgeon at his prior practice. Dr. Smith recommended conservative options when other surgeons recommended surgery. I'm feeling great at don't need surgery for now. Happy to find a surgeon not just looking to cut!

I've had back pain for few months and my chiropractor referred me to another surgeon but the wait was a few months. Dr. Adams got me in right away. His staff is excellent and he seems like he's knows what he's doing. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

The absolute best Neurosurgeon. Changed my life. After years of failed treatments he knew exactly how to fix my back and executed it perfectly. I would not trust anyone else. He also fixed my Sisters neck and within hours she had feeling in her hands again.

I had a large lump in my neck and after seeing 2 other doctors I was referred to Dr. Smith and could not have been happier with the results. I was told that I had a schwanomma and that it was in a dangerous area to operate on. He was so nice and reassuring, I was told that i needed surgery to remove it and after my surgery (that was supposed to be only 2-4 hours) I would most likely need physical therapy due to weakness in my arm, and my recovery afterwards would be at least a few days in the hospital for pain management. My surgery ended up being 7 or so hours. The next day he came in to meet with me and told me that the tumor was attached to nearly every single nerve in my neck, but he was able to remove 99% of the tumor, with the remaining 1% being so mingled in my nerve he didn't want to cut my nerve. I have absolutely no weakness in my arm, no pain, no side effects at all. I got released from the hospital the next day. I'm so impressed , not only with the results, but the fact… that he took his time to make sure that he got every bit that he could carefully. He is a great doctor and I would recommend him to anyone and everyone! Thank you Dr. Smith!

One of the few doctors I see who doesn't use a PA. I don't know how he does it, but I appreciate being treated by the doctor instead of the assistant.

Seen multiple spine surgeons in the past. By far and away I have the most confidence in Dr. Smith.

Messed up on my surgery and when I told him I couldn't swallow after 4 months after surgery..he said that's normal. When I tried to tell him after 6 months in pain and cant swallow he just sent me to another doctor.
