My mother suffered from seizures, dizziness, and fatigue. We did not know what exactly was going on, our neurologist referred us to Dr. Adilia Hormigo. Even with a set appointment, we had to wait for over 2-4 hours just to see her. She was so unprofessional and care less that I do not think she deserves to be called a Doctor. If you or your loved one has brain cancer, please, seek several opinions and do not trust this Dr. She did a horrible disservice for my mother who was bedridden diagnosed ELEVEN WEEKS LATER!! with Glioblastoma. Just because Dr. Hormigo could not care less. Without ANY discussion my mother was given not a standard of care, that automatically disqualified her from EVERY single trial. I learned about it after the fact, she had never bothered to explain our options, even though I was asking a LOT of questions about possible alternative, supplement, keto diet. This woman with a smile on her face replied: "Do not try anything, your mom will die within a year" Cold… blood went down my veins. Why is she a doctor? I had asked my next question, which took her off guards: What is the longest surviving patient do you have? Guess what, she could not reply. Because there are none. Immediately I had asked her for a referral to Memorial Sloan Kettering, where she refused to give it. Stating that my mother will get the same treatment as anywhere else. Lies. I had to "steal" my mother in the middle of winter in a wheelchair, which was just a begging of my journey for this type of travel, from the Mount Sinai hospital switch her primary care Dr to another location, go for the first time visit to get a referral to go to Memorial Sloan Kettering. Only at MSKC one month later I've learned about the standard of care for glioblastoma patients. I remember that day in tears, hopeless. If you want to survive or prolong the life of your loved ones or yourself choose a different doctor. Unfortunately, this lady only cares about her salary check and nothing else.

She gave us bad advice & sent us to a surgeon who helped to make my husband's condition worse & he suffered more because of her advice & referral to this surgeon! He never recovered & passed away 5 weeks after the surgery! The hospital was dirty & the staff at Mount Sinai Beth Israel was inexperienced and juvenile! He never came home again! The surgeon left to go on vacation after performing serious brain surgery on my husband! He left us with inadequate care & that promoted my husband's infections and downward spiral! Do not listen to this woman! She only cares about her career!

It was my first appointemnt with Dr Hormigo and she was wonderful and very proffesional...Took her time to explain and examined me. She made me see other areas of my illness that i didnt see or knew. Very detailed. I couldnt ask for someone better. Very happy with her. I will recommend her to anybody that only want the BEST. Thank You Dr Hormingo. May God continue to bless you so you can continue saving lives and prolonging lives.
