Dr. Adrianna Maria Hekiert, MD

In Sept 2020 I was diagnosed by Dr. Hekiert with LPR and also with a polyp on my vocal cord. Dr Hekiert prescribed medicine and lifestyle changes for the LPR and also performed surgery to remove the polyp. Her bedside manner both before and after the surgery was very comforting and my voice came back beautifully. However, pathology revealed that the polyp was cancerous and I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Vocal Cord Cancer. In relaying the diagnosis, Dr. Hekiert was extremely compassionate, kind, and empathetic which helped greatly in alleviating my shock and fear. She was very knowledgeable and clear in communicating my options and helped me to maintain a positive outlook. In addition, she helped me obtain immediate treatment from a highly skilled Head and Neck cancer surgeon who then performed successful surgery to remove the cancer. I cannot say enough about the outstanding care that I received from Dr. Hekiert. She is a very highly skilled ENT doctor and surgeon, is an excellent and… thorough communicator, and by far one of the most caring doctors I know. Overall, I highly recommend Dr Hekiert...she treats you like family and is one of the best physicians out there. I am forever grateful for her care!

Dr. Hekiert sees both my daughter and me. She is always caring and thorough. She explains what she's doing, sees and her recommendations fully. We always leave understanding the next steps without a question. She's very patient with both adults and children. She's honestly one of the most compassionate doctors out there and medically- she's fantastic!!! Highly recommended for anyone in your family.

In 2012, an MRI detected I had chronic sinusitis, however, I had the MRI for "bigger issues", so the sinusitis got pushed to the back burner and onward I went. Fast forward five years: I got tired of fantasizing about piercings my canaliculi's with ice picks in hopes of relieving some pressure and pain. After a few trips with Dr. Hekiert, we planned surgery. She turned a five year old hellish burden into an easy fix. I was very squeamish about having that section of my face "dealt" with; tubes up my nose while I'm conscious?!? What?!? She held my hand through it all. She's great. I'd recommend her to anyone.

I have been seeing Dr. Hekiert for the past couple of years and each time I go, I am treated as part of her family. Dr. Hekiert is very knowledgeable and accurate in diagnosis. She guided me through terrible sinus problems where she even called my home to see how I was feeling. In addition, she remembers everything I told her, even if it was 2 years ago. I have seen many ENTs in NJ and I usually do not recommend doctors; however, Dr. Hekiert is the best and I highly recommend her. The office staff is also extremely friendly and accommodating. When my daughter had severe vertigo and begged us to figure out was wrong, we went from the pediatrician to neurologist and back to the pediatrician before turning to Dr. Hekiert. She was very calming and very thorough with her diagnosis. She made sure my daughter got the tests she needed quickly so that we could know the cause and assure her that an end to her dizziness was in sight.

Dr. Hekiert is honestly one of the most compassionate, intelligent and patient doctors I have ever experienced. She is an excellent diagnostician and was able to accurately diagnose my son while several others were not! She has a great bedside manner and explained procedures and treatment in clear and concise terms that even my child was capable of understanding. I have and will continue recommending her to any family & friends!
