Best doctor ever. I saw 3 different surgeons for my hip and he was the only one who spent time with me and talked about surgery. Excellent team, great results.

he did a great job. I had an anterior hip replacement 6 months ago and got my second hip replaced 1 month ago. Great team members who are very helpful.

He fixed my infected knee. Nobody wanted to help me in any other hospital. He has a nice group of nurses and quality of care in university of Michigan is superb.

I saw this Dr. in his clinic. I needed a hip replacement. He seemed too conservative to me and asked me to try physical therapy first. To be honest, I hated that. I did physical therapy and then he did the anterior hip replacement for me later that year. I did fine and love my hip. I have sent a family member and 2 friends. They all got their surgeries by him and they are happy. It is not bad to be conservative and not to jump to do surgery but I wish he was a little more aggressive. If you like someone who is more conservative, he is a great doctor to go to.

When I first called the office, I thought I was calling someone at their home. Hello. I answered is this a Doctor's office. She said oh, yes. I told her I thought I was calling someone at home. She said, oh, I did say Doctor's Office. This was my first chance to "Stop" and not make the appointment. Once I arrived, on a prayer, the lady at the first desk wanted to talk about Politics. Not a good start. Then, she led me to the exam room, and all of these articles on the wall about the research and the person "They" voted for. Once the Doctor arrived, he was so arrogant. He said he wanted to start with me by exercising my neck muscles by looking up and reading his articles taped to the wall. I should have packed up my stuff and left but I played it through and vowed never, ever to come back. And, I see why there are no photographs of him on the internet. He looks very sick himself and has an unpleasant attitude about himself that shows strongly. If I met him in street, I would not like… him there either. He is a very unpleasant person and should not be a Doctor.

I went for a second opinion due to not bring able to bend my knee no more then 50 degrees after being manipulated and recovered from an infection after surgery. This Doctor told me I would have to live with this and he could do nothing for me. My wife was trying to hold back the tears and told the doctor , I couldn't ride a bike , swim, walk fast, bend down exc.... The doctor told her, "he is alive". We couldn't believe this doctor. Horrible bed side manner . Stay away from that doctor . Since then we learned he has arthrofibrosis and it can be addressed. Basically gave us no support . Wow unbelievable!!!

I was having considerable hip pain. X-rays confirmed that my left hip joint was bone on bone. Dr. Pour's recommendations were 1: "get a cane and do more exercise". 2. "Lose 20 lbs. and come back in four months to see him to maybe schedule surgery" I am not that much over weight! These non-solutions are not what a person in pain wants to hear. Do not go near this Dr.! He is a waste of your time. My experience is similar to other ratings on this site.
