I was in an accident went to the emergency room and found out I fractured my neck I was referred to Dr. Alan Appley. They called me a couple days later to find out if I still used medical marijuana in which I'm honest so I told them yes they immediately told me they weren't going to prescribe me any pain medicine. I told them that I was a business owner I worked very hard I'm in a lot of pain and I needed something for the pain so they gave me a round of pain medicine. After a week I called back for more pain medicine because I was in a lot of pain. Dr. Apply told me I would have to suffer because he wasn't going to prescribe any more medicine to a marijuana user. This man is a racist towards medical marijuana users and discriminates towards marijuana if you are a legal medical marijuana users stay clear of this guy.

I'm a chiropractor here in Lafayette. Sometimes it is necessary for me to refer out patients who have problems larger than I can deal with. For many years I've referred serious problems to Dr. Appley. I even went to him when I had such a serious problem in my own neck from an auto wreck that it mandated surgery. I've had NO problems of any kind since my surgery, and I've not had any of my patients let me know that they were disappointed with him. Great doctor, highly recommended.

Dr. Appley was very thorough and dedicated to finding and fixing the problems I was having with my back! I had seen another doctor about the same issue, and did not get any results from him! Dr. Appley looked at my MRI, and found I had spinal stenosis , and a bulging disc, and bone spurs on one of my thoracic vertebrae. Needless to say after minimal invasive surgery and two months later I can sleep again at night without waking up in pain! And not only the back problems, he has been monitoring my post surgery brain tumor for the last five years, with nothing but good news to date! I would highly recommend Dr. Appley to anyone with any neurological problems. Also have to give a shoutout to Lafayette Surgical Specialty Hospital in Lafayette La., cannot beat the service, and the staff of this small, but great hospital. Made me feel as if I was the only patient in the whole hospital!

He did not discuss findings from my MRIs and X-rays thoroughly. He seemed very dismissive and uninterested during my appointment.
