Dr. Luiz Carlos De Araujo, MD

My first encounter with Dr. De Araujo, was in 1990 when I fractured (Neck) C-4, C-5 in a motor vehicle accident. Once the swelling alleviated, he also found out my ligaments and muscles where torn as well, hence; the second neck surgery. I was only 16 years old at the time. He was available for my family and myself through the two hospital stays. He explained everything in detail. He has a wonderful bed side manner and is an overall great person. I did need his services again in 2002; this time for back issues. I had extreme pain for 3 months; he gave me the option to have surgery or not. The pain worsened and I decided to have surgery. It was a Micro-lumbar discectomy L-5, S-1. It was out patient surgery; but he kept me over night for observation. I went from extreme pain to NO pain!! I also want to acknowledge his nurse. I can't remember her name at this time, but she is an awesome nurse. She has been his nurse for many years; not only in the office but in surgery… too. So bottom line; Dr. Luiz C De Araujo is the best in my book!!

Dr performed surgery for foramanotamy on neck and ulnar nerve transpostion. Excellent Dr and excellent staff. Doc is quitting doing surgery as of the end of 2015. Too bad I needed surgery again.

I fad cervical fusion on 2 vertebra, the pain and weakness was gone when I woke from the surgery. 4 weeks later and no pain.

Awesome doctor and staff. I wouldn't let no other dr but Dearuajo do any of my neck or back surgeries. He is the best doctor in Louisiana. Very caring and considerate of how you feel. GREAT DOCTOR AND STAFF.

Horrible first visit the wait was long but the staff was kind. He showed me exactly what was wrong but didn't explain to me exactly what kind of surgery he would have to do. If he would tell people what he has to do would be more helpful than for me to waste gas going back out there.
