If you want a Dr. who listens & responds, go to him If you want the best pain free injection into a inflamed arthritic joint, go to him If you want a compassionate, dedicated Doctor you won't be disappointed His staff also deserve mention, Including the great young lady at sign in, very sweet Ahh, the very professional red headed Xray technician , he was so kind & great attention to detail & thankyou at signout to the sweetest Sandra who was so fun & compassionate at the same time! Wow, is all I can say to find so many medical involved people in one office that Display so much compassion, professionalism & Dedication to their patients is amazing, so, so appreciated!!!!! They must really love their professions Thankyou!!

Dr Blackburn is a wonderful doctor. He is caring, he listens to what you have to say and he is very knowledgeable.

Dr. Alan Blackburn cared for my elderly father recently after a slip & fall at home. He had multiple fractures in his right ankle. I was referred to Dr. Blackburn by an associate at SFOA, as he specializes in orthopedics from hands to shoulder. Dr. Blackburn, while being very professional, is easy to speak to, listens carefully, and very clearly explains the nature of your orthopedic problem along with the various approaches (with pros & cons) to its treatment. In my case the options were casting for an extended period vs. surgery with casting for potential the same period, but a better long term outcome. Dr. Blackburn performed the surgery and the results were very positive, including better recovery time than expected. Both my wife and I were very impressed with Dr. Blackburn ability to knowledgeably respond to questions we had on alternate treatment approaches. His background in various orthopedic research areas was obvious. In summary, Dr. Blackburn is a very competent professional with a great ability to communicate effectively with his patients.

Dr. Blackburn operated on my son. Great surgeon. Assure my son the possibility of making use of his right hand again. After the surgery and the healing process, my son hand was as good as new, with no problem. He was able start paying contact sports again and ride his dirt bike.

Dr. Blackburn is an Orthopedic Surgeon who specializes in hand and upper extremities. After suffering from a serious accident in which the end of the right hand thumb was torn off Dr. Blackburn was able to perform reconstructive surgery which included relocation of blood vessels, nerves and skin grafts. Now five months out from the accident I have regained full use of my right hand and thumb with very little limitations. Thanks to Dr. Blackburn's experience and skill sets I will forever be grateful. Dr. Blackburn's compassion and will to work closely with the patient and Physical Therapists was instrumental in regaining use of the right hand.
