Dr. Gurd truly saved me! As a 15 year old girl I was diagnosed with severe scoliosis which required a very lengthy surgery and a month long stay at Cleveland Clinic. His caring manner put not only me, but also my parents at ease. I've been a nurse for 28 years and know now what an amazingly gifted surgeon Dr. Gurd is. I went on to have 4 daughters all natural and remain very active. I bike ride, walk, swim and kayak. I hope that he reads this, as I want to express my sincere gratitude for his expertise!

Dr. Gurd is the best doctor in his field. I had 2 spinal fusions (the initial surgery and then a follow up to fix a problem I developed) and he performed flawlessly both times. He has a wonderful bedside manner and genuinely cares about his patients. He goes out of his way to help and does so with care. Without him, my scoliosis would have eventually cost me my life.
