Best pediatrician ever! Have dealt with this office for about 14 years and they are absolutely the best.

Dr. Hirschman has been my kids pediatrician since each was born. I've had nothing but good experiences and was always helped quickly, even on a Sunday when the office was closed the doctor called me back within 10 minutes. They are lovely people and very professional

The receptionist wouldn't make an appointment without all of my son's previous records. She said, "We can't have people off of the street." I wanted to come in bc my son has a fever and I live in Riverdale. I didn't want to go to our union office bc it is far away. I would have to get all of his records, wait for the dr to review and then, see if he would accept him as a patient.

My impression was this doctor didnt feel like being bothered on a holiday weekend, had to call back twice after being disreguarde the first time, told there was nothing to do, this didnt seem right after much cajoling and asking to explain his actions, low and behold there was a part two of the treatment, which helped my son, my question is why not inform us the parents of this when we first saw him, always plan for a contingency, always asume that the front line treatment may not work, knowledge and forethought are invaluable when dealing with childen, they do not get sick just during banking hours, yes things do go awry, treatments dont progress as expected, my son had a complication from a cold, it migrated into his chest, anyone with kids knows this is fairly common, this in turn raised my sons anxiety level causing him to attemp to breath more rapidly, which he was unable, this descending spiral, then caused my son to throw up, repeatedly, so much for the oral antibiotic, it… doesnt do much good if it doesnt stay in the body, all this was attempted to be relayed to the doctor who at this time was reminding me that I was a layman and didnt understand medicine, a little less pomposity and more understanding of what the patient is telling would be invaluable in a case such as this,

My toddler is a nightmare at drs visits and Dr Hirschman never bats an eye. He is jovial, friendly, and always gives thorough explanations - even despite the little screaming maniac in the room. Dr Hirschman's diagnoses are spot on and he never makes you feel nervous or paranoid about anything; just gives you the facts and puts you at ease. I'm already wondering what i'd do if he retired soon! I work in healthcare and i know it isn't easy to find a good, caring dr.

Dr Hirschman took care of all 3 of my sons. The youngest, who is 14, loves him. He is well mannered, happy, takes his time explaining things to me, is kind & gentle and a really amazing doctor. I am so happy he has been our doctor for all these years. I moved 45 miles away from his office 8 years ago and STILL bring my son in to see him. He's THAT great.

my son is 21 and just graduated from college and he doesnt' want to change doctors, i think that says it all. Dr. Hirschman was his first doctor and we will miss him, but i told my son he can always come back if he has kids!

We recently moved to the neighborhood and I had to make my son an appointment quickly. The staff went out of their way to expedite the review of his medical records and schedule him an appointment the same day they received his records. They were caring and pleasant, the toys in the waiting room captured his interest and entertained him during the short wait, and the doctor himself was just fantastic, with a great bedside manner. He spent a good deal of time talking to me during our appointment. Overall, a great experience! I am happy and relieved to have chosen him as my son's new doctor.

He is the pediatrician for my kids, 5 yr old daughter and 1.5 yr old son. He is so caring with kids, and takes his time to explain things to me. One weekend (of course it was always weekends that I used to end up in ER with her with high fever), my daughter had an ear infection and he went the extra mile to consult with me and call in a prescription, and follow up the next day. I couldnt believe my daughter didnt cry during her flu shot

Caring, friendly, great with my child. Listens and addresses concerns. Not an alarmist- flexible. Gentle mannered. Jolly personality. Would recommend him to other families.
