Sandra your receptionist is disgraceful!

Your office is totally Unprofessional

I am a registered nurse who was recently advised by a third party that I was to be seen by Dr. Alan S. Lane because of increasing loss of vision after surgery by another doctor within three weeks (Surgery was successful my lens was removed). I had lost sight in the other eye for some years now. So the third party had me assessed by Dr. Lane so he could report findings. I was fine with the visit; however, they scheduled it on a holiday. Try being visually impaired and getting to an office on a holiday. Because I wanted to do what was requested I finally got someone that could take me to the visit. I was happy, I wanted him to tell me if possible what was happening to my vision. I called to inform the staff of my name and verify my appointment and this is where the nightmare began. The staff was very rude and abrupt I could not change the appointment to a non-holiday or different time. The appointment was at 8 am and I had to be there 15 minutes early. When I got to the office in person… they were also very rude and unprofessional with patient information and how they spoke with me I said to the transporter, "Maybe this is why I am the only patient for him right now"? (Poor staff/Customer service). The person who took my medical history and information refused to continue writing my medications or answers (per the transporter) and I heard the staff member suck her teeth. I know my health history is extensive but I think I deserved better since I am the one losing sight. I had to wait for 2.5 hrs to see the doctor even though I was the first patient. The coffee smell throughout the office was so strong that I became sick. As a new patient to this physician, I feared complaining because of their rudeness; people can be you know.....However, as a nurse with 30 years experience under my belt, I was surprised at the poor service, professionalism, and treatment at this office. When I finally was called to be seen by Dr. Allan Lane, he was no better. He was harsh with the examination and caused great pain in my surgical eye. I have been seen by other doctors, but non-hurt like him. He spoke harshly and just did not care. I could not see where he wanted me to place my hands and he yelled. All was witnessed by another, who was shocked she said, "by the unprofessionalism". The pain he caused in my surgical eye was horrific and still hurting days after. I left the office after everything was over feeling why did I have to be seen in such a matter. I thought about the patients who were older or who were as helpless as me and remembered reflecting on professionalism that is suppose to be in medicine/healthcare and began to cry. I said to the transporter, "As a nurse, I do not ever remember being that unpleasant to a patient and now I am the patient with horrific care, what should I do?" She said, "Let someone write your story and inform". I am not having this review written because I think I deserve better which I do. I am having it written because I do not want another soul to have to experience what was given to me just because people did not care, or lacked professionalism and to inform the public of this physician and his staff and practice which does not fall far from the tree. God be with you when you schedule appointments for this so call the doctor. He may very well have experience but him and his staff lack caring or customer service. Without caring or great customer service, what good is having so-called experience?...... S.S.

I had no wait time getting appt. Staff very knowledgeable And pleasant. I would highly recommend dr lane to everyone

I recently visited Dr. Lane office and an incurred a corneal abrasion due to his negliglence. When I made the staff members aware the had burning and painful discomfort in my eye I was still released and was told it wouild go away, insult i ended up in the ER that diagnosed me with a corneal abrasion which caused me to have blurred vision.

Didn't know what he was doing! Ended up going to the ER!
