Dr. Albert John Iammartino

I saw him only once because he was extremely condescending, like others have said. I had an illness that wasn't properly diagnosed at the time, and it included polyarthritis, which caused pain in many joints. He laughed at me when I asked for pain medicine, saying that people with my diagnosis don't have pain. I was misdiagnosed, and now that I am more properly diagnosed, it turns out that people with my diagnosis DO generally have pain (RA). He could have listened to what I said the symptoms were and concluded that maybe I was misdiagnosed, but it was more fun to put me down. I think he just doesn't take women seriously, being of Italian descent (although that's no excuse for a physician who is supposed to help people, not just male people, and he should certainly not laugh at them. That's a good way to lose patients.

I would give negative stars if I could. He gets an F- just for being a condescending bully. He said things that made me feel like this disease was my own fault because even though I did and took everything he asked of me for the first 7 years until I had a massive heart attack while on Humira and then he was mad because I wouldn't go back on it per heart doc's instructions. I just received copies of my medical records from him and was furious to find he lied about certain things to cover his own butt and he did blame me saying I was grossly under treated due to my own decisions. I can see how some people may like him, but do not trust this man! He intentionally made one of my injections extremely painful because I didn't laugh at his stupid sharp needle or dull needle joke. I brought someone with me from then on. I do blame myself for not finding a new doctor earlier...uuggg

I have been a patient of Dr Iammartino for many years,he is a very good Dr, has patience, a good bedside manner and has diagnosed my problems well. Is always prompt at returning calls when needed.Follows up on visits and calls. I would recommend him to friends and family.

I have been a patient since 1983 when I was 40 years old and diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Regular treatment since then has yielded exceptionally positive results for me. I have always found Dr. Iammartino more than willing to take all the time necessary to examine, treat and explain. I recommend him very highly.

I had been a patient of another doctor in his practice who left to teach at Med School. This guy made me feel like a useless piece of garbage.. told me that I need to quit my job so I wouldnt be bothered by the stress that others face.. and that if what I am looking for is narcotics (which I was not) I should see a pain doctor because he wont play along. All I could say was "what a jerk"..never went back...

Not worth it. Long wait to get an appointment, crappy bedside manner. If I wanted to be treated like that, I could have gone to my in-laws for free.

I have been a patient of Dr. Iammartino's for ten years. He is amazingly easy to be with. He talks to you in terms you understand. He evaluates his course of treatment with your best interests at heart. Gentle manner, great personality. Responds to concerns. Treats you with respect. I highly recommend him.

Simply a wonderful doctor! Very thorough, patient and understanding. Explains care and concerns in a way that is comforting and easy to understand. He is wise beyond words and I thoroughly trust him with my care.
