After 3 years of steroid & Gel injections I met with Dr Carli at HSS in Paramus. After evaluating my knee & X-rays he told me I was a candidate for a partial knee replacement. To be totally prepared for such a surgery he encouraged me to read about the procedure on several websites. His staff is amazing from Ashley to the PA s who always returned my calls .Surgery day at HSS in NYC was seamless, Preop,OR,& Postop . I am a retired RN who worked in all these areas, HSS is the gold standard for orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Carli is a highly skilled and personable surgeon. He thoroughly explains your condition and all possible treatments - always taking time to answer questions. He demonstrates great care and compassion for his patients and his staff is excellent in responding to your needs throughout the process. I highly recommend Dr. Carli to anyone seeking treatment for hip or knee issues.

Dr Carli and his entire staff were helpful, thorough and timely with responses to our questions. Every aspect of my total hip replacement was handled wonderfully. I am in rehab PT now and well on my way to complete recovery.

Dr. Carli is an excellent surgeon. Dr. Carli’s PA, Ashley Pantoja and his team are the absolute best to work with. When I had questions, Dr. Carli listened patiently and provided detailed answers to all my questions. Before the surgery, he also explained the entire procedure to me in great detail. Both my hips damaged very badly due to the Chiropractor used a DRX9000 machine to perform traction to my hip area, the bones in both of my hips sustained damage—to such an extent that I was unable to walk. Luckily, I found Dr. Carli the excellent surgeon in HSS hospital to operate on my right hip replacement on Dec. 19, 2024, and operated on my left hip replacement on April 10, 2026. Now I can easily walk around and climb stairs without pain. Thank you Dr. Carli for taking excellent care of my replacement surgeries and returning to the athletic person I used to be.

Dr. Carli explained entire procedure & comparisons between anterior & posterior/lateral surgery...he was very thorough & answered all my questions...great bedside manner...very caring...Surgery took place 1 month ago & I'm walking with practically no pain! Great surgeon!

Dr. Carli is an excellent surgeon who will not cut on you til it is absolutely necessary after exhausting non surgical avenues first. He is very compassionate and listens to your concerns, aches and pains. He has done 2 hip replacements and 1 knee replacement on me. Recovery time was quicker with the hips than the knee which takes slightly longer. Any concerns or questions and someone in his group will get back to you pretty fast. Thank you Dr. Carli for taking excellent care of my replacement surgeries and getting me walking around again!

Had total right hip replacement surgery in January 2026. Dr. Carli took his time to explain the entire procedure, the pros and cons. The surgery was an overwhelming success, I have been restored to brand new. The office staff is amazing and is always available to answer questions and provide a link to the Dr. with any and all questions and concerns.

I presented to Dr. Carli as a seventy-nine year old man who had a recent x-ray, which showed that severe arthritis had developed over bone problems caused by Paget’s disease, and was told by another orthopedic surgeon that he would not do a hip replacement. Dr. Carli ordered new x-rays, provided a detailed explanation of what they showed, told me that he could do a hip replacement and recommended that, due to the risks of surgery at my age, we first check how much physical therapy could improve my mobility. After we agreed that the improvements were not sufficient, Dr. Carli scheduled the surgery. Due to complications, Dr. Carli and his team needed over three hours to complete a successful surgery. Seven weeks later I was driving, taking two-mile walks and pursuing a physical therapy regime that will only make me stronger. I am truly grateful for the exceptional service that Dr. Carli and his team provided to keep me moving and to avoid becoming a couch potato in my old age.

Dr Carli, his PA Ashley and his office manager are the absolute best to work with. Nothing feels better than the feeling you're in the best hands possible when it comes to knee replacement surgery. The surgeon and hospital matters!! You can get a knee replacement anywhere, but the skill of your surgeon is paramount. I am in physical therapy now, and I'm told by my therapist I am way ahead of their other TKR patients at this stage, as far as my recovery goes. I have Dr Carli and his staff to thank for that.
