DO NOT USE THIS DR!!! PA is disrespectful and condescending, office staff don’t care and hang up on you. Dr Haas completely messed up my knee after doing a replacement, STAY AWAY use a different DR

Dr. Haas performed a double knee replacement simultaneously on me and I was walked with a Walker that same night. Four days later I rode a stationary bike and walked without the Walker. Dr. Haas is the best there is for knee replacements. He has restored a good quality of life for me, and I am truly indebted to him for it.

Dr. Haas is the best. Made me feel comfortable on what he was going to do. I look forward to the future with my new knee and being able to lead a normal pain free life. Highly recommended!!

Too little time with patient, and depends on his PA’s too much

After seven years of limping on an impaired knee,I met with Dr. Haas. He clearly and authentically told me the facts about my need for TKR. I felt then his optimistic attitude about a successful and hopeful outcome. He said I needed work also in regard to valgus issue (sp)?I read all the info from HSS and attended the classes with the staff. They prepared me for the surgical experience.Following surgery, I was up and practicing stair climbing. The staff was very helpful and informative. The best was yet to come. After 3 weeks with my daughter, I had PT 3x a week. I could walk a little without using a cane. The PT was very helpful. After 2 more PT weeks, I was told I was a "fast healer". At 8 weeks my scar was almost gone. Dr. Hass's job was superbly done. It was a dream come true for me to find myself in such good health. At the 6 week checkup, I saw X-rays of before and after knee surgery. I was shocked to see what a big difference was made as a result of the surgery. my left knee… was perfectly straight whereas my former X-ray of that knee was so distorted. I feel such a great amount of gratitude to Dr. Haas for his excellent work. When walking in New York on a block that I used to avoid because of crooked bricks on the ground , I was looking around at all the buildings, the people etc. Formerly, I had to stare at the ground constantly to avoid falling. When I realized that I was floating along that previous area, I burst out sobbing. I felt that I had received the miracle of brilliant work from the finest doctor alive. I now help and encourage others I see who are in distress , telling them how wonderful life can become when you have gifted doctor. I would never hesitate to go to Dr. Haas again if need be. I am 77 years old and feel I have years more of a life where I can walk easily. My balance has improved greatly. I feel as if I float instead of limp. I work as a psychotherapist and am looking forward to helping my patients as I have been so helped by Dr. Haas.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hass for more than 15 years. I had a right knee replacement in 2013 and a left knee replacement in 2015. In both cases I could not have asked for better outcomes. This surgery has a difficult recovery but is liberating. Dr. Hass is an excellent surgeon, has great people skills and has a top notch staff. They make a very difficult procedure as painless as possible. I would not do this surgery with any other doctor.

First rate experience from initial visit to last, including TKR surgery.

Thorough in explaining cause, effect of condition and surgical procedure. Recovery time was exactly as described. Comletely satisfied with results.
