Dr. Nwachukwu attended college at Columbia University and he obtained his MD from Harvard Medical School and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Dr. Nwachukwu completed his orthopedic surgery residency at HSS and his sports medicine fellowship training at the world renowned Rush University.Dr. Nwachukwu has extensive experience caring for athletes and he is a medical consultant for the National Basketball Association (NBA) Player's Association. He has also been a Team Physician for the Chicago Bulls, Chicago White Sox, and DePaul Athletics.Dr. Nwachukwu's clinical and research interests are focused on health care outcomes and developing basket practices for returning athletes …to sport as well as joint preservation. Dr. Nwachukwu has researched joint preservation techniques and incorporates stem cells and biologics in the management of musculoskeletal disorders.Dr. Nwachukwu currently has over 130 published peer reviewed publications and is an internationally recognized thought leader for Orthopaedic Surgery. He has been an invited speaker at numerous conferences and his research has been recognized throughout his career.Dr. Nwachukwu uses his knowledge of orthopaedic science and excellent bedside manner to provide compassionate care that is also cutting edge.
