Dr. Forteza is a very compassionate doctor and I am most impressed by his care and knowledge

Dr. Forteza is a life-saver, after my mother had a stoke the advice from the other doctors was have a glass of wine, relax and enjoy your life. We were recommended by friends to go to Dr. Forteza, this man is caring and gets to the bottom of the situation to find out what was the specific cause of the stroke and what course to follow to live a healthy prolonged life. That was 9 years ago and my mother is a healthy functional woman at the age of 77. She drives, teaches at her church, cooks, enjoys going out with friends and family. God Blessed the world with Dr. Forteza.

I've been to many doctors in my lifeâ?¦.and never met one who is so knowledgable, caring, HUMANâ?¦..He spent 2 hours with us at my last appointment this past week. We fly down from Tampa to Miami to see him, because haven't met another neurologist who compares to him

After a visit to Neurologist #1, I knew I had to find another one. Dr. Forteza came highly recommended so I drove to Miami and have no regrets. Unlike Neurologist #1, I was not rushed or treated like a "chart". Dr. Forteza LISTENED to me and took his time. He went beyond my MRI results and connected the dots. Above all, he genuinely cared and that fact was obvious. I have not felt this way about a physician in years. He is extremely knowledgeable and just a pleasant person. I am grateful that I was referred to him. My time in the waiting room was not long but think about this if you have a concern about the wait: don't you also want him to him to spend quality time speaking with you when it is your turn?

I have been seeing him for years now. He has always spent as much time with me as needed. He is very thorough and caring.

I first met Dr. Forteza 10 years ago when she suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage & had a frontal ischemic stroke. From the beginning, he was fantastic, taking his time with my mother, attentively listening to her, doing all medical follow ups to ensure her health. When he moved to the Biscayne Medical Plaza & my mother's insurance stopped covering for his care. Even then, he emphasized that he could come/call him in case of an emergency. As my mother's care taker, I can testify that I haven't seen a most caring & conscious doctor as Dr. Alejandro Forteza. He was worth the wait!

I travel over 2 hours to see Dr. Forteza. After years of being misdiagnosed, he knew in one visit what was wrong with me and most likely saved my life. I can not possibly say enough good things about him. You will wait and wait in the waiting room but it is worth it.
