Dr. Alex Quan, MD

I've been coming to this doctor for years with my lower back pain. He's been prescribing me painkillers over those years with no end in sight. Frustrated, I went to a chiropractor to fix my back pain and went from paralyzed on the floor for hours to finally being able to walk again. Recently it's been acting up, and I decided to see him for some guidance. It was still the same advice, to take medication, and that I was too young for back pain. He disregards chiropractic care, even though Kaiser Permanente offers it through their insurance. It was downright impossible to work with him and my chiropractor to get my back fixed. So much so that I couldn't even get the X-Rays my chiropractor ordered without him ridiculing the differing views that chiropractors and medical doctors have on patient care. After spending days getting a hold of him, he finally called me back telling me that my spine was normal and fine. My back pain still exists, and it's not fine. I ended up paying for all… the x-rays out of pocket because this doctor does not believe in any other form of help other than surgery and pills. I got the X-Rays back and I myself can see my spine was curved in places where they should not be. It doesn't take 10 years of medical school to say "Hey, that's a little crooked, maybe there's something going on there." Find another doctor that will actually sit with you and listen to your problems, not ridicule them.

Excellent Doctor, I was surprised when he took another position at Kaiser Perm. in Orange County. He was my Doctor for a long time , going back to the Redlands office. I wish he was back at Kaiser in Redlands , Ca.

He listens intently to your medical problems and never seems rushed .
