I never had an issue with the Doctor or Emily, they were outstanding, the staff however is rude, uncaring, and disrespectful, this has gotten worse. They do not seem to be on the ball when handling test results prescriptions or following up on calls. And it almost seems being there is an imposition to them. If horrible office staff is not a priority then by all means go here. But not me any longer.

Dr. Newman himself, seems solid. The rest of the office, eh. Just too difficult to work with.

The first physical I received after moving to NC in 1999, before he had his own office, so I have watched him grow. I have been a fan from day one. He's a doctor who really cares & show it, express it in accurate diagnosis & bedside manner & always spend an appropriate amount of time with patients. Thank you Dr. Newman for everything.

There is a rude girl at the front desk. She wasn't nice on the phone and then was making me feel uncomfortable by talking about me behind the closed glass door. The doctors are fine but I will never come here again.

I agree with other comments about the front desk staff is rude, I stopped going there for that reason. Dr. Newman is great, but I can reraly get an appointment with him.

Rude front desk, Dr Newman is wonderful, Shelby is not pleasant.

Dr Newman is wonderful, the front staff and nurses are rude and not truthful. Don't ask for a prescription sent because it will take days and numerous phone calls to get it done. Shelby turned out to be a real disappointment after liking her for 2 years. We are pulling the family out of this practice because of Shelby's comments. DON'T GO TO THIS OFFICE UNLESS YOU SEE DR NEWMAN AND CAN HANDLE RUDE AND UNCARING FRONT DESK. I

I have always like the Dr. Newman and Dr. Shelby but I am always dissappointed with the office staff. I am always put on hold and forgotten about. Usually I hold for about 5 mins and then end up calling back. The ladies in the office are very rude and unprofessional and sometimes I feel like they don't even listen to what I'm telling them. I have always paid my bill in full other than 2 times where the first time I received a bill in the mail and the other I wrote a post dated check. Now they won't work with me on any payment plan. If I am unable to pay the bill in full then I do not get service. My throat is so swollen I can barely talk but ill just have to wait 3 more days until I get paid for them to be able to treat me. That's just ridiculous. I will be finding another doctor because everyone is going through hard times right now and my sickness can not wait until payday. I regret that I have to do this because like I said the doctors at this practice are very good but the office… staff have totally ruined it for me.

They overbook constantly and do not return phone calls. Had several instances where I sat in the reception area for over 45 minutes past the time of my appointment. Trying to book the actual DR there? Good luck his waiting list is generally weeks out.
