Dr. Alexandra Simotas, MD

I have been with Dr. Simotas for so long, I stopped counting. Each time I visit her she spends time with me like I am a new patient. She makes you feel like you are the only patient in the world. She gives out her cell phone number-- who does that! and actually picks up the phone in the middle of the night. I love her and now my daughters go to her. I hope she is always blessed like she blesses us!

Dr. Simotas saved my life, twice. Once with a difficult delivery and the other when I almost bleed to death from my fibroids. I love this doctor.

I am so grateful for finding Dr. Simotas. She is passionate about her work and more importantly very understanding and caring. You can tell she really cares about women. I had so many questions for her and she was patient and took the time to explain things to me. I also hear she has a radio show and does a lot of volunteer work for her community. Overall, a wonderful doctor and woman!!

Moved to Houston a couple of years ago. This doctor was recommended by a good friend of mine. I am so glad I met her. She is not only smart and knowledgable, but kind and very caring. She calls you back right away. She even lets me text her if I have a quick question. Love her staff and love her a lot.

I just moved to Houston and boy was I excited to find a doctor who listens to me. She worked me in the same day because of my bleeding. She gave me her cell number and was so wonderful when I called her at midnight to ask a question-- I felt so aweful doing that! Basically, I love this doctor and am actually not nervous about my annual, which I usually hate!

I'm in the healthcare buisness and have had the fortune of having this doctor for years. She is not only medically knowledgable but is very kind and has great bed side manners. I think it is sad that patients blame doctors when they have horrible insurance plans with high deductables. The doctors and office staff get the brunt of this, when really insurance comapnies set the copay, co insurances and dedcutables. They are the ones that need to be blamed when you have to pay the doctors office! Having said that, I would go to this doctor even if I had to pay out of pocket or ever lose my insurance. She is what doctors should have always been. Love you Dr. Simotas! Keep doing what you are doing!

Love this doctor. I have been with her for 6 years now. I have had two complicated deliveries that I know would not have made it without her. She is not only very intelligent, but also gives her patients her phone number and actually calls you back! When my mom needed surgery I referred her to Dr. Simotas. She was wonderful. She was in the room before my mom went under anesthesia! My mom still talks about how she held her hand before she went to sleep. Her staff is very friendly. Love her NP, Laura. She is always there when I call and need a last minute appointment. I moved a couple of years ago to Austin. I still travel to see her and I get my annual done by her. She is wonderful. Worth the drive!

I first met Dr. Simotas in 2005 when I was ready to get pregnant with my first child. I absolutley LOVE HER. She was always super knowledgable, and helpful. She was amazing and readily available when it was time to deliver my babygirl. There were times when the wait to see her was lengthy, but I understand things happen. Babies are being born, and not always on a schedule, she would have to tend to births etc... But Being an expectant mother, I would hope she would run to be by my bedside as well if delivery was happening and NOT ON A SCHEDULED DAY AND TIME!! I could email her and she would respond, I always had her personal number and never felt like I couldnt reach her if need be. I continued to see her after the birth of my first daughter, and then again when I got pregnant with my 2nd daughter almost 4 years later, we picked up where we left off. Now 8 years after the birth of my second daughter we are back at it and going through the Hysterectomy… process. I trust her knowledge and her forwardness with what she belives in. Her honesty and tell it like it is personality is what I need. She is a busy Dr. But if she wasnt , wouldn't you WONDER WHY??? I think before you read the neg reviews... and base your decisions off of those, Look at the positives. They outweigh the negative, and there are always some people you can't please. She is an amazing Dr., Woman, and I now consider her a friend after our longterm Dr./Patient relationship. JJ in Magnolia Texas

Love this doctor. Takes time to explain condition. I was in an emergency situation with my last pregnancy. I didn't want to have surgery on an ovarian cyst. Most doctors would have operated on me, but Dr. Simotas, spent two days in the hospital watching me and my baby until we were safe to go home. Such dedication and great bedside manners are so hard to find. My baby was born full term because of this doctor's dedication and patience. Can't thank her enough.
