Dr. Alexis C Drullinsky, MD

I saw Dr. Drullinsky yesterday because of pain, swelling, and redness of my right eye. Dr. Drullinsky spent about five minutes with me and did not look into my right eye. When I asked him if he was going to examine my eye, he stated that he could see enough from where he stood. He told me that I had conjunctivitis. When I stated that I had quite a bit of discomfort and that it was impacting my vision, and that I was afraid, he called me a Drama Queen. As I hadn't much confidence in him or in his diagnosis, I begged a receptionist at a local ophthalmologist's office to see me today. After an examination, I was diagnosed with a corneal ulcer. It is being treated aggressively with drops and spray, but I may lose some vision because of the delay in treating it appropriately. Be wary of medical professionals, especially those who resort to calling women names when they are in pain, especially an eye--what is more important than your vision. If he didn't know what was wrong, he… could have referred me to another doctor or an emergency room. Please be wary of the caliber and ethics of this physician.

This was the worst doctor I've ever seen. I waited over an hour to see him despite arriving 20 minutes early. When I finally did see him he lied to my face until I called him out and he admitted it. I will never go back to this office (Mount Sinai) and no one else should

Open and Truthful

They overcharge COPAY!! you've been warned. Here's what they did to me. They've ruined my credit score even though they OWE ME. Last year I had two visits with Dr. Alexis Drullinsky at this BIMG clinic on 34th St. Both the doctor and the clinic were in my network. Also, upon my arrival for the first visit they were presented with my insurance card. However, 2 staff members and the doctor himself insisted that my visits are not covered by Cigna and charged me a $175 for the first visit and a $10 copay for the follow up visit. At the same time they submitted claims for those visits to my plan and were reimbursed in full by my plan. Now, a year later, I receive calls from a collection agency that I have an outstanding balance of $100 with the clinic related to those visits. Upon review, the insurance company told me that my copay was only $10 in total for BOTH visits. Yet the clinic charged me $185 at time of the visits and now are demanding an additional payment of a $100 for those… same visits despite being covered and paid for by the plan. I also suspect wrongdoing because the clinic refuses to provide an invoice for the charges. After contacting their billing department on over 4 occasions, they still refuse to review the charges or provide a breakdown or an invoice. They LITERALLY have had a whole year to make this right! They should have even reimbursed me $175 but didn't.

The staff at the 34th street location is so bad that If it was not for the care that Dr. Dru. gives me and my family i would have left after the first visit.

I would most definitely recommend Beth Isreal Medical Group as an efficient medical office. Dr. Drullinsky was a kind,concerned and courteous M.D.

I have been seeing Dr. Drullinsky for approxiately eleven years after walking into the clinic at 34th Street. After the first encounter I have been going back to him exclusively. He is truly a wonderful doctor and person, always willing to take a few extra minutes to listen to your concerns and feelings. I feel very fortunate to have met him. If you choose to work with him I'm sure you'll feel the same.

I had an appointment with another doctor at this office and was waiting over an hour. I asked if I could switch doctors and I was switched to Dr. Drullinsky. Well, it was meant to be. He brought me right in and was fast, thorough, and very polite. I was out of there in less than 20 mins with minimal wait time. Definitely am switching to this doctor as my primary.

Exam was hurried and dismissive. Blood work results with abnormal numbers were not followed by a phone call, but instead a 4 word scrawled note in the mail.
