Dr. Alexis Agustine Vazquez, DO

Please, think twice before you go.

I have to agree with other patients, Dr Vasquez is gorgeous! Once he enters in the room you forget that you waited for more than an hour. Lol. As a Pulmonologist he is very knowledgeable, thorough and he does listen. The office pace is extremely fast once you’re called into the back I’m sure because they are trying to see so many and perform testing on most so it is easy to get confused when you’re moving at a fast pace. Since seeing Dr. Vasquez his treatment has helped me and he has taken steps that no other doctor has taken in 2yrs and I am seen by doctors on at least a monthly basis. Yes, things get hectic in the off but I feel he has been worth my time and would highly recommend him to anyone.

I do not recommend seeing this doctor at this office. First of all they over book and you have to wait almost 2 hours to go through the process. I went for a breathing test and chest x-rays. The nurse who took me in to do the breathing treatment was the awesome. She was very kind and explained ever detail. Ok, so then I had to go back out to the waiting room. After waiting almost an hour, they called me back and put me in a room, which they had to take me to another room, be/c the patient that was in there wasn't finished. Now I am waiting and waiting only to be moved yet again to another room. FINALLY, Dr. Alexis Vazquez comes in with terrible bedside manners. Cursing at his staff in front of me because they can't keep it together (probley from over booking). Also, out of the blue he says "so how long have you had sleep apnea?" I don't have sleep apnea, that's not why I am here. Insisted I take a sleeping study over night. Ok, now moving on to do the chest x-ray. The… nurse doing that was also awesome. I go back to the room I originally started in and his medical asst comes in to give me medicine (which wasn't for me). He fussed at her and ordered out. (She was going nuts with all the patients.) I leave there office thinking they are going to call me about the sleep study - NOOO I had to hunt them down to get this little machine you have to sleep with and just so he would give me a release letter for my surgeon. After, all of this and doing the sleep study they don't fax my doctor the papers I need for my surgery. 2 months of going back and fourth with them about needing my paperwork, I decided to go back there and confront them face to face. Well, if it isn't bad enough, they don't do reports on chest x-rays. I could have screamed. I wanted to go totally balistic on them. Now I have to go somewhere else and get yet another chest x-ray so I can have it sent to my doctor. Worst Practive Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was referred to Dr. Vazquez. His office was prompt to sch an appointment with him and they were extremely helpful. Despite the fact that Dr. Vazquez is gorgeous, which made me feel better immediately. He is an extremely caring and compassionate human being. He made sure to answer all my questions and concerns. I feel blessed to have Dr. Vazquez as my physician.
