Dr. Alexius Enrique Garcia Sandoval, MD

Dr. Sandavol was very thorough in his physical examination as well as really understanding the patient’s condition and goals. He was very professional and explained the specific details of treatment for PPMS. We look forward to his assistance as we move forward with specified treatment. We definitely recommend Dr. Sandavol; he listens, evaluates, explains in a detailed way and treats the patient holistically.

I was referred to Dr. Sandoval for a neurological deficit after a spinal injury/surgery. He was through in his physical examination (rare for Hopkins), which is why I gave him two stars. That and he seems genuinely nice in person. But his diagnostics, communication, and treatment recommendations regarding my condition were off. So unbelievably off. Not rude, just inaccurate and completely wrong for my situation. I switched to another PM&R doctor who treated my pain and will be seeing a different physiatrist for spasticity and remaining deficits. I do not recommend Dr. Sandoval. So much more could have been done for my progress early on had he been more attentive and knowledgeable in his field in neurological rehabilitation.
