Dr. Dobrow is an amazing doctor. He spends time explaining how he is going to treat my eyes and knows exactly what he is doing. I always feel comfortable in his office due to his patients and caring personality. Thank you so much Dr. Dobrow for doing such a great job on my eyes. You are known by many people for being outstanding!

I am amused by the reviewer who feels Dr. Dobrow is not an exceptional professional. He has cared for my eyes for over twenty years and I have always found him to be a compassionate and highly skilled surgeon. He has performed cataract surgery on me and many of my friends. All of us have had outstanding results. It is my understanding that he is the most sought after ophthalmologist at Kaiser and his reputation is impeccable

We visited Dr Dobrow in regard to my husbands chalazion (or stye)on his eyelid.To make the long story short - dr Dobrow did not give us the time to invetigate the problem, kept going in and out of the exam room, kept saying there is nothing to worry about since its common and nothing to do about. We asked for a culture to see if there is a staph infection - he kept contradict himself. We finally convince him that we do want him to make an incision and drain the infection and then local antibiotic. he finally agrees. When he performed the surgery, he did not wash hands, did touch the utensils with his hands, then after that put gloves on, but took them off shortly after, dropped utensils on the floor and I PICKED IT UP for him (I was present during this time) and he USED IT. I was about to burst and start yelling at him, but my husband had told me to not interveen in cases like this.It was a bad experience, the poorest medical experience of my life. I will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER go to… this doctor again and will NOT EVER recommend him to anyone else.Oh, and after going back to work I was discussion the experience with my collegues and my boss also knew him as a bad doctor too; he had been to him as a kaiser member as well.If you are refered to Alfred Lawrence Dobrow, MD, its for your best interest to not accept and change to a different doctor.
