Dr. Alfred Scott Marotti, MD

One weekend my wife suddenly developed symtoms that was diagnosed as stage 4 Ovarian cancer early the following Monday.She was immediately admitted to Baptist Hospital. We tried,unsuccessfully, to find a surgeon willing to undertake this type of very lengthy and very complicated surgery.Fortunately I was soon introduced to Dr Scott Mariottti who agreed to undertake a surgery he later admitted not having -performed before.He labored for 5 hrs+ attemping ,as he described to me, to remove every visible cancer cell.Because of his efforts my wife lived for nearly 6 more yrs although her life expectancy was about 4 mos.No surgeon could have shown more skill,determination and care for the patient and her family than Dr Scott Marrotti.I wii always be eternally grateful to him.

This is a serious surgery but Dr. Marotti is very VERY qualified to do this surgery! Prepared me ahead of time in the event of Blood loss. Got my blood count up ahead of surgery! He is amazing surgeon My scar is so thin you can hardly see it! Thank you Dr. Marotti

Dr. M. recently performed laparoscopic surgery for colon cancer on me, he fit me in quickly for my initial appt, got me on the OR schedule quickly. My quick recovery is a testament to his technical skills. He and his entire staff, especially Teresa have been wonderful, minimizing my stress. Could not ask for better.

I've been an RN for over 35 years and actually knew Dr. Marotti when he rotated through the VA where I work. I thought he was great to his patients and the nurses back then. Last week, I ended up in the ER at Baptist with severe abdominal pain, mostly RLQ. After CT scan, he came within 30 minutes to my bedside, explained that I certainly needed surgery for my appendix, and possibly more as the CT had questionable unseen structures. He operated on me, and when I woke up in recovery I remember everything he told me. I literally had a mess where my appendix was, and he performed a colectomy. Surgery went perfectly, routine post op pain managed well. Nurses were fabulous, and I can't wait for my follow up visit Feb 25! Recommended highly from a very old school nurse! 10 Starz. I was recently admitted to the hospital with abdominal pain which subsequently turned out to be cholecystitis.Dr. Marotti was consulted, came to visit me within a couple of hours, explained the plan in detail, taking the time to answer all my questions and had me in surgery. He was there when I awoke from anesthesia, explaining everything to my husband and myself. I felt better immediately and went home the same afternoon. Follow up care was just as wonderful. Dr. Marotti and his office staff could not have been more helpful. I cannot recommend any surgeon more highly. Fantastic Doctor.

I experienced severe complications from an outpatient surgery with an expected 3-4 day recovery, He was nice and did seem to care, only because he knew he messed me up and left me with a dangerous health condition after he dismissed me four months later. Ultimately, I required an intervention after suffering for another eight years; I was terrified to have another surgery; I did go to another doctor who was a specialist. When Dr Marotti and his nurse dismissed me, I requested of my medical records and discovered he blatantly lied and falsified information, but fortunately, he contradicted every other sentence. GO TO A SPECIALIST IF YOU NEED ANY SURGERY!

Wish I could give him 10 stars. This man is amazing. My husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and Dr. Marotti rearranged his busy schedule and operated on him almost immediately. Sometimes you need to know that your doctor actually cares about you. Dr Maratti was compassionate and caring and made you feel confident. God is using this man in a mighty way. It's not by accident that we just happened to drive to Baptist Hospital where Dr Marotti just happened to be and was known as the best to perform the Whipple procedure that my husband needed. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Dr. Marotti was our blessing and our family will forever be thankful.

Dr Marotti did my thyroid surgery several years ago. Surgical line disappeared in less than a year. Was kind compassionate and committed. He had grandson as a patient last year. Spent quality time with the family. Detail oriented. He has not changed. Tried to get him for an upcoming procedure but no immediate openings. I will trust him with any family member or friend. He is a God sent Dr.

Had the best pre and post surgery experience. Before attempting surgery Dr Marotti made certain all non surgery options were exhausted prior to a final recommendation for surgery. He acted as if I was his most important patient each time he visited. His staff is very supportive and quite attentive.

Dr Marotti is on top of his game. This was the first time I had an appointment and he made me feel very comftorble. He explaned everything to me before he did the procedure. First doctor said I would probably need surgery, so I was expecting the worse. Dr.Marrotti handled my situation immediatally.
