Dr. Alfred Carl Marrone, MD

Went to see Dr. Marrone for partial lid upper blepharoplasty on both eyes. He's a terrible surgeon. He sewed my left eye too tight and took out too much skin. Immediately after he put the last stitch in my left eye I told him it felt much tighter than my right eye. He said it was swelling I had to tape my left eye down for months at night after the surgery because it wasn't closing and would drift open at night. But what's worse is that my eyesight in my left eye never returned to the way it was before the surgery, because I drove that night 1 and 1/2 hours after the surgery into the headlights and taillights, and since my left eye was sewn too tight and still paralyzed by the anesthesia, it could not blink or close against the lights. Dr. Marrone said it would be OK to drive home after the surgery because the surgery was not going deep. He was rude on my post-op visits as I continued to complain that my left eye was too tight, there was a popping noise in it when I raised… my lids, that there was a diagonal scar on my left eye AND that eyesight was not returning to normal. He said my eyes were just dry. I had a very hard time getting my file from him. He would only allow the first 3 pages to be copied and withheld the last page from me for two weeks. I am reporting him to the Medical Board on these and other issues.

Dr. Marrone and his staff were the best and I recommend him to anyone looking for a wonderful opthamologist.

He was my second opinion and SO glad I went to him! First dr wanted to do unneeded surgery and Dr. Marrone instead did a relatively minor surgery that repaired all without permanent scarring and MUCH less expensively.
