Before I wrote this review I read some of the other reviews from previous patients of Dr. Bydon. I thought I was reading something I had written and forgot. All of the important results to his patients had the exact same opinions I do. Here are a few ....Dear Dr. Bydon, you have given me my life back. I could not walk and could not stand. I was afraid i would be incapacitated for the rest of my life, no job, no sports or household chores , unable to get to a seat in the ball park, or unable to swim in the pool with my grandchildren that I could do before. Now I am 6 weeks after my 3rd back surgery by Dr. Bydon. As you may have guessed my back was in pretty bad shape. Stenosis and slippage had pretty much ended all of my normal ability. At this moment I am pain free. Not just better, PAIN FREE. Now I have the possibility to go back to work and to do all of the physical things I used to do. Like taking a walk or swimming.I can't thank Dr. Bydon enough. My mental condition has improved… 100%. Dr. Bydon persisted in my care until he found all of the causes of my pain and disability. And then he fixed them. I don't know how to repay him for what he has done for me. As a side note his staff, Corey and Laura are fantastic. They handled all of the testing and paperwork and kept me in line. They are friendly and patient and professional, and I thank them, too. The process getting everything done and correct could not have been smoother. The staff in the hospital deserve some credit too. All in all I could not have had a better experience. I have to give my cousin Jeff (he is a Hopkins doctor, also) some credit for referring me to Dr Bydon. I would not have come across him in my normal healthcare sphere. So all I can say is that if you are looking for a surgeon, I could not recommend anyone higher. Thanks for everything. From a happy customer.

There are no words that truly capture the depth of my gratitude for Dr. Ali Bydon and his team. For months prior to surgery, I had been experiencing major life-changing complications that included intense pain, leg weakness, loss of bodily functions, repeated falls and balance issues. Dr. Bydon saved my life. He instantly spotted a problem with a tumor in my spine and moved to repair it before paralysis set in. Without his expertise I would not be walking today. I will forever be indebted to Dr. Bydon. Thank you Dr. Bydon for your care and professionalism. Its been one year since the operation and I am doing well. You are truly a magnificent surgeon!

After suffering months of persistent headaches after a prior back surgery due to a CSF leak resulting from a prior back surgery (performed by a different surgeon), I was searching for a competent and experienced surgeon to repair the damage. Through some internet research, I was able to identify Dr. Bydon as THE surgeon I wanted to have do the repair. Fortunately Dr. Bydon took my case. During the consultation, Dr. Bydon took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure and answer my questions, and I left his office feeling confident that I would have a successful surgery. I am now two weeks out and my headaches are gone, my incision is healing, and I am very optimistic that I will have a full recovery. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Bydon and would not hesitate to recommend him.

I lived far too long with severe nerve spasms and painful muscle cramps in both of my legs. At three moments, I was paralyzed and could not move my legs. I shared my experiences with Dr Bydon who immediately recognized the severity of my health and ordered an oblation which showed the cause of my malady….an exposed nerve root due to a crumbling vertebrae. Surgery was scheduled without delay. I cannot find enough words to express my sincere thank you to Dr Bydon and his great team of professionals. I was severely limited from doing almost any type of physical activity due to pain from lumbar spinal stenosis. Dr. Ali Bydon performed decompression and diskectomy surgery to address the condition and literally gave me my life back. I've been doing well since the surgery and am doing things I previously had to stop doing because of the stenosis pain. I think of Dr. Bydon with extreme gratitude every single day for what he gave me back. He is not only a skilled and effective surgeon, but he is also an extremely compassionate and conscientious doctor.

Approximately 16 months ago our father Howard Stamp was given a grim diagnosis of Stage 4 renal cell carcinoma that had metastasized to his spine and given a prognosis of a year at best. We were devasted and didn’t know where to turn. We met many doctors and none of them gave us HOPE until we found you. Within two days of sending images/scans to your office you personally called us without hesitation and told us to get our father to Johns Hopkins immediately and were more than willing to take on the challenge. On June 17th 2021 you successfully removed 100% of his vascular tumor and gave him more time to spend with his family. Unfortunately since that time he has had yet another spinal tumor. Once again you did not hesitate to help our dad and family. I have never experienced a doctor who would drop everything and prioritize a patients care on such short notice. You have touched our lives and I’m sure many other families lives with your brilliance, compassion and courage. Words Cannot… express our gratitude for all you did and continue to do for our dad. You are truly an extraordinary doctor and human being.

I am so thankful for Dr. Bydon, his staff as well and John's Hopkins Medical Center!!! I had a severe compression of my spinal cord in my thoracic spine and needed major spinal surgery to decompress. I was feeling so hopeless. I was told that I was a slip and fall or car accident away from being paralyzed. Here I was, 47 years old and having to walk with a cane. I came across a story about Dr. Bydon and a former patient online. I knew I had found my doctor. I called his office and Corey was great. She worked with me to get all my records. When Dr. Bydon....yes, Dr. Bydon himself called me and accepted me as a patient I literally cried. In October 2021 my husband and I flew to Baltimore Maryland from south Alabama for my consultation. Both my husband and myself absolutely loved Dr. Bydon from the start. He made us comfortable with the procedure because we knew that I was in great hands. We flew up to John's Hopkins Medical Center to have my surgery in September of 2021 and everything… went great. I never had a doubt. After a stay in the hospital and extended stay in a hotel (maybe 10 days total) we flew home. I had more access to Dr. Bydon and his staff than if they would have been around the corner. They were always just a phone call or email away. If I had any questions or concerns I emailed Laura and she would get with Dr. Bydon and get right back to me. Fast forward over a year post op now and I am doing better than I thought I ever would. I do not have any major residual pain and I am able to walk unassisted now. Dr. Ali Bydon is an amazingly skilled neurosurgeon!!! I am forever thankful to Dr. Bydon.

Dr Bydon was over an hour late, did not review my records. Played with his phone the whole time and didn’t understand my case. Highly disappointed.

Outstanding doctor. Can't recommend him enough for his care, concern and commitment to his patients. I had my latest video call with him today and I can only continue to thank him for all that he did for me.
