Dr. Ali Ziada, MD

Told me my son needed surgery and left the room to get paperwork. He never returned. A nurse came in to see why we were still in the room. I told her the doctor was supposed to come back so we could talk about the surgery. She ended up explaining the procedure to me. The day of the surgery, he calls me from the operating room to tell me that the problem was something else and asked if I want him to fix it while he's in there. I asked him to explain what was going on and he seemed annoyed. He gave me a terse 2 sentence explanation that felt like he was talking down to me. The surgery went fine and my son is okay now. I just called to reschedule his 6 month follow up appoint after surgery (yes, that long) only to be told that the provider canceled the appointment saying it was unnecessary. Basically, do not see him if you want explanations, communication about procedures/appointments, or any type of compassion.

A very negative experience — from surgery to follow-up. My child now requires corrective surgery to undo damage.

Very poor communications skills, spent five minutes with my child, used Vaseline and a Q-tip without anesthesia to perform a procedure that we could have done at home, bill was over $2,000.00.

I would not advise taking your child to Dr. Ziada. He has turned what should have been a simple surgery for my son into my son now being scheduled for a third surgery with a different doctor. When I refused to let him operate again, he was very rude and acted as if I shouldn't question him. He kept making excuses about why things haven't worked so far and, it turns out, it was because he messed up.
