Alienor S. Gilchrist, MD, joined the team at Urology of Greater Atlanta in 2015. You can find her at their Sandy Springs & Stockbridge, Georgia offices. Along with being certified by the American Board of Urology, she is one of a few in the State of GA with the certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Gilchrist brings a unique and much-needed medical perspective to the Metro Atlanta area. Before completing her General Surgery Internship and her Urology Residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Dr. Gilchrist earned her MD at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. In her continuing service to the Metro Atlanta area, she has served as the Director of Female Urology. Dr. Gilchrist is an active member of the American Urological Association, the American Medical Association, the Society for Urodynamics and Female Urology and the Society of Women in Urology. As illustrated by her numerous diverse publications in medical journals, …printed chapters in several books, and her inestimable presentations over the years, Dr. Gilchrist is a highly respected doctor in the field of urology. Dr. Gilchrist is very professional and she’s kind and personable. She focuses on the main issue and strives to solve any problem. I was sent for testing and this visit was a follow-up with an office procedure. Her staff is very kind, attentive and professional as well. They all work cohesively to make an efficient team. I am thankful to have such a wonderful doctor with such a supportive team.

Dr Gilchrist is the perfect example of what pts look for when choosing a Dr. Her knowledge base is superior. She is so current with latest available approaches to treatment. Dr. Gilchrist is very knowledgeable and professional medical doctor who makes you feel at ease by explaining step by step of the procedures she is performing on her patients Furthermore, she gives you the reason why a test and/or procedure is needed while answering all of your questions and concerns. Her staff is amazingly professional as well. I would recommend her for all urology needs.

Dr. Gilchrist should be nominated for the "Nobel Prize" in Medicine!! Trust me when I say, Dr. Gilchrist personifies what a knowledgeable, professional, and caring physician is. She has thoroughly explained my particular condition and has introduced to me a very impactful treatment for the condition. She takes enough time to answer all questions I have and makes me feel so at ease with my questions. I am SO THANKFUL for Dr. Gilchrist!! I am a military retiree and it's so very difficult to get an appointment for matters at the VA, especially for A LOT of life altering matters. Dr. Gilchrist is one of my doctors that I truly trust. She is professional and friendly. She diagnosed my illness and have prescribed medications that has improved my lifestyle. I'm at ease during my examinations. I would highly recommend Dr. Gilchrist.
