Dr. Alisa Anne Freed, MD

I saw Dr. Freed for several years and received excellent care from her. I offer an enthusiastic recommendation to anyone looking for a new PCP.

Dr. Freed saw me for UTI Symptoms. I am a Board Certified Clinical Laboratory Scientist at a Number One Boston Hospital. I know what a UTI looks like clinically and under a Microscope. I tested my own urine and knew for a fact that this is what I had. I see this kind of thing everyday. Dr. Freed completely dismissed the results that I had brought in and shown her. She dismissed my back pain and discomfort. She did not prescribe antibiotics as any normal physician would do. She merely told me to take Advil. The day after my visit, my pain is significantly worse (What a surprise). My back is so sore that I am hunched over and I have visible blood in my urine- this means I have a kidney infection. If I had received the antibiotics last night, , I wouldn't have had a bladder full of bacteria multiplying while I sleep, creeping their way to my kidneys. But hey, I don't know anything, I'm just a dumb girl with a fantastic degree/ certification in this kind of stuff. I just need Advil.

I’ve been a patient of dr freed for 5 years. I was concerned with my memory. Not able to focus. My children have ADD. She suggested I get a Nero psych. Which proved I have ADD. She suggested I try antidepressants and see a therapist. Which I did. My therapist thinks that meds for ADD is all I need. So 5 years later I’m on meds for ADD. Even though dr freed didn’t want me to. My memory has improved dramatically. Dr Freed made me feel crazy & unsure of myself. I hope that this type of thing never happens again. We should feel safe with our doctors. We go to doctors for help. Not to meet an entitled ,condescending ,rude awful doctor. Who doesn’t listen and understand their patients. Needles to say I finally switched doctors

I've had nothing but good experiences with Dr. Freed and the staff at SSMC. Never a long wait in her office which I appreciate.

I'm surprised to see any negative comments for Dr. Freed. She has been very responsive, helpful and has excellent bedside manner. I have never felt more comfortable with a primary care. Dr. Freed listens and gives great advice. She always follows up with test results and is prepared for each and every appointment. I hope she never leaves SSMC.

I find her arrogant and rude, insisted I could not diagnose myself...and after all the test came back and I was correct got mad. At yearly disgust a medication for anxiety and she said she had other patients waiting didn't have time I'd have to come back at a later date...right that helped my anxiety

Rudest lady ever

She smashes her fingers on the key board as she asks you a list of questions as if she's looking at a template on the computer (which she probably is) she is rude and unprofessional.

Does not make eye contact with patient & actually looks at computer when talking. I understand that accurate notes are important but I've never experienced such a poor bedside manner. No follow up on test results or concerns.
